Personally - I think it looks a lot better, I wish I'd had them painted years ago :-)
Much prefer the silver.

Black wheels are like vape shops, overdone to buggery. That is why they look st.
No no, they're apparently all good on a completely black car. The guru has vindicated me, I'm cool again! Don't fancy driving around with a vape shop on each corner, the ride's a bit on the edge already.

Crikey, I forgot I had so many cars with black wheels. In addition to the Type R and the two Exiges earlier, I also had black wheels on my MegaBlade and Elise 111R.

Not sure if anthracite counts, but I thought it looked good on my R300 as well.

This was quite a while back.
The exact same model and with similar mods.
One has black grills, wheels, tints and badges. The other one was mine smile

Most people seemed to like the darker version better, but I loved my sleeper look.

Often thought about getting my MR2 wheels done dark, should I?

Interesting, I would agree that most of the cars posted look better on silver or grey, but the red F-Type looks fantastic with black wheels.

I think the darker wheels suit it, especially with the black roof but then contrasted with the rest of the car in silver.

Silver looks way worse, so plain and especially if the wheels aren't particular nice it just makes it even worse.

Would prefer Black over Silver any day.

Thanks for the replies on the MR2, assuming it gets through its MOT without ruining me I'll look to get the wheels refurbed in a dark colour smile

Borrowed from the Lemans stickers thread...
black wheels working... when they're not 100% black...

plenty of examples above of when you can't see the wheel design at all.... what's the point in that? to pay extra so the design gets lost...odd.
A plain silver/white/red/yellow/anthracite etc wheel design is still atleast visible...
is it so that at night when you're moving along you car looks like it's hovering?

Gonna have to agree. Silver looks much classier on black cars.
