Getting excited now!

My brother (Mattius), sisters boyfreind (Stu) and I leave tomorrow on the ferry from Rosyth at five, all going well will be in Spa for early evening Friday.

Gutted my Dad (Vetteg) can't be there in the vette, but pretty sure this trip won't be the last (and we haven't even got there yet) and he'll be there next year, along with Matt's latest creation!!!

See you all there on Friday for a great weekend of racing.

Chris

You may laugh....I once bought myself a nice pair of 'just above the knee' length shorts, didnt try them on until 1st day of my holiday, to find knee length on normal peeps are almost ankle length on those of us who are vertically challenged paperbag

I reckon I need to buy hot pants to get normal shorts length.

yikes OMFG, the image of me in hotpants has terrified me, hate to think what the rest of you must be thinking hehe

So you'll be pretty easy to identify, too at the Ring, then - height = width, and shorts that aren't short? biggrin

Eric, for some reason Im think you'll take one look and say "Him, that one over there. He MUST be FUBAR" paperbag

ETA: Coz I'll be the handsome (if slightly portly) one standing next to TC the bum bandit (not too close to him for obvious reasons)

Fingers crossed that Stratstone Corvette can fix my gearbox in time and I should make it to the 'Ring public day and the Spa track day.

Looking forward to meeting you guys there if all goes well and good luck to BossCerbera for the race! thumbup
(Leave it you Phil to not even have a hotel booked! biggrin)
Be good to see you there David. thumbup
Great news today, Stratstone have come up trumps and fitted a new gearbox to the Z06, so I can't think of a better way to run it in than to take it on this trip!

Picking it up tomorrow and will see you guys in the 'Ring car park on Monday (or passing you on the circuit! wink )

If you see me before I recognise your car, come and say hello.

Hi Eric, no, I'd love to, but 2 nights away from the family is the most I can do at the moment.
Have a hot rock steak for me!

Are you driving the 'Ring and Spa in your Saab?

Nope - I had hoped to get the TVR on the road by now so held off on subscribing to the event, so now I'm just daytripping to the Ring on Sunday (in a Smart Fortwo...) and attending the evening dinner. smile

Haven't even had time to pick up the 'proper' Saab yet from Beek Auto Racing, and the RingShed will take a few weekends' worth of wrenching before it's trackworthy.
