Any idea why this dealer has different prices for Part Ex and non-Part Ex?

Trade-in Price £9495. No Trade-in, £8,995
I thought most dealers want part exes as it's effectively 2 slices of the pie in one go.
Bit of an odd one.http://www.banchorycarcentre.co.uk/used-cars/subar...

There would be an argument that says you're getting a 'discount' as the dealer doesnt have the hassle of disposing of your trade in, but the reality is, as you, a trade in is another bite at the cherry usually.
Also, its odd to publish those figures up front - it means the guy with the trade in knows its just £500 bolted on to make the trade in price look better.

Looking for some opinions please, bare with me while i explain a little.
I've recently ordered a skoda citigo Sport 5dr, got a great deal which included a trade in. My dad then went and ordered a citigo se & traded in his old audi.
My niece then ordered another sport with cash deposit. All 3 are pcp on the 0% offer. Basically the other two got the cars as i got a great deal and I was instrumental in all the 3 sales. We had a good joke with the excellent sales guy about being their best customers buying 3 cars in 3 weeks
Now out the blue due to a change in circumstance we might be looking to get a 4th for my daughter!
My thoughts are this, I really feel this time round we should be getting an exceptional deal on this car with a substantial discount on the list price. The what car target price is around 3-4% ie £342 on an se model. I'm looking for maybe a bit more so am wondering if anyone can give me an idea what sort of max discount I might get? I appreciate they still need to make some profit but considering this is our 4th new car purchase in 5 weeks I reckon the dealer should be discounting this one.
One other question, we want an option paint (460) and the PID system (275) added. Would it be easier to ask for these free than a substantial discount? IE pay list but not for options? Is there more movement one way or another for the dealer?
Really I need to know as much as possible to help my negotiations!

If there are any Lexus guys on here, would you be able to find out if there are any Arctic White IS300h Luxury with sat navs in the country? She is being told 18 weeks by lease co (even though we know there is one in Edinburgh, but due to centralised purchasing we can't get it). Otherwise what colours are available for immediate delivery?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance

Why does she want a Camry? Thanks in advance
Isn't your question moot if central purchasing say they can't get a car that is out of their network? Surely they are the people you should be asking about availability?

I'd say that the dealer in Edinburgh isn't a preferred supplier of the leasing company, and probably doesn't want to be. It could also be that either they won't release the car to another dealer, or the dealer that is a preferred supplier doesn't have the money in the deal to bring the car down from Edinburgh. Thanks in advance

Simple - it's different, not German, and nearly £100 per month cheaper in tax per month. The fact that is also a nice comfortable, quiet drive and beautifully engineered is another factor. In fact it reminded me of what Mercs used to be like before they became trinkets.Isn't your question moot if central purchasing say they can't get a car that is out of their network? My question wwas really to find out what was available from the importers for quick supply
Before anyone asks - she tried the 320d - it was MEH. She also really wanted - and tried - the CLA220 and it was utter ste. And let's not go there with Audi . . . . . .

I've already answered your question. The leasing company will go through a preferred supplier. If you're a long way from Scotland the preferred supplier probably won't have any margin to bring the car down to their workshop, and then deliver it on to you.
That's the thing - we're in Glasgow and the dealer from Edinburgh has it's other branch here in Glasgow . . . . .There does seem to be a preferred supplier system running, however I do question the economics of paying a driver to drive the car up, pay his rail fare home etc etc etc

If it's the same group, it will purely be down the the Edinburgh sales manager (most probably). There does seem to be a preferred supplier system running, however I do question the economics of paying a driver to drive the car up, pay his rail fare home etc etc etc
If there aren't many in the country, he will want to keep his stock as can probably charge a premium for it rather than letting it go through fleet where they probably only make a couple of hundred quid.

Very much this. The leasing company will take all of the front end bonus, if not more. Leaving the dealer with very little back end bonus as profit. If he sells it to a retail customer he can earn a lot more money. If there aren't many in the country, he will want to keep his stock as can probably charge a premium for it rather than letting it go through fleet where they probably only make a couple of hundred quid.
