Going back a number of pages where people were questioning Mclaren's focus on YouTubers over say Top Gear.
One point that seems to been of missed is Mclaren will have their own Channel. When their videos are featured after the YT'ers video and people subsrcibe they then grow their own direct marketing channel. That doesnt happen on the telly box.
Wel it appears McLaren may have lost one of its youtube advocates in "Seen through glass" One point that seems to been of missed is Mclaren will have their own Channel. Sam's McLaren 540c is now for sale with Gravelwood cars. I did see a video recently where he questioned the sense in keeping the car as it was not been driven. The fact that he had been given a Jag to play with for a decent periord and with other OEM sponcered events coming up he would not be driving it. Plus its costing him in finance payments for a car sitting in the garage so I suppose it makes sense
Archie Hamilton though...blimey... what was that? a month or so? continually going WOW! ....clearly in love with it, detailing it, coloured details, suspension and little changes, hadn't really taken it anywhere, then ...oh.... it's sold.
I hope the offer he was made was substantially over and above market value.....

The word "EXPERIENCE" appears in 7 out of Seb Delanney's last 30 video titles. I assume this has something to do with YouTube's trending criteria/ranking or something :/
Its a tough one really, I am trying to keep my channel titles neutral and to the point but its harder to generate the views on it so I see why so many actually do follow the trends. I guess when you are a bigger channel you can slightly fight it but at the same time the risks of it not paying off can play a bigger effect too. 0a said:
I wonder if the YouTube numbers are working for him now (I remember him getting a bit annoyed about the editing costs vs revenues).
He has Patreon set up and a couple of permanent sponsors so that probably helps. He doesn't edit his own videos though so that'll be an expense most YTers don't have to worry about.
The rest of his work is quite low budget though. As far as I can tell he's only just got his own external microphones.

Looks like it. If you look at the Socialblade stats for all the guys, MrJWW, SOL, STG, Seb, AHR they all look to be losing views and subscriber growth is slowing down, even Shmee, although he's head and shoulders above the rest of them in subscribers. These guys all have separate income streams other than Youtube, however if these stats are representative could explain the moving and shaking with these guys and their cars. Is the bottom falling out of this 'bubble?' Or are they changing cars to get a boost to their audience figures?
Both STG and AHR have sold their flagship cars, SOL has not driven his Lamborghini for 45 days, these were all purchased within the last few months were they not?

The sooner Archie realises that it's not his car that isn't getting his Youtube channel views but his personality, the better for us all
I think everyone is doing it to give their channels a boost and experience has proven the easiest way to do that is by buying a new car. It dilutes the value each successive time but when your numbers are on the decline and it's your job then something has to change. In any case, I wouldn't always believe all the wording and reasons given, there could be any number of reasons behind the scenes.

Just watched Harry Metcalfes vid on the new NSX. That's how it's done. Long video, lots of technical stuff, lots of driving, lots of comfortable chat. Brilliant.
Thanks for kind words, enjoy doing them too but other (work) stuff keeps on getting in the way!My thinking is to review a car only once, so I like to cover all the tech and experiences a car offers in the single vid.
