Renault Avantime 2.0T, high miles, but could go for cheap (£1450 with a day and a half to go)

A red puma 1.7 with no sign of rust on the arches and headlights that haven't deteriorated into a foggy mess for £1500? If this was local I'd be getting into serious trouble with swmbo. Only real downside is it's in Croydon!

Ah - but did you ask about their delivery service ?!

That actually looks very smart and no mentions of rust on the MOT. I thought these rot badly ?

I did not! Don't tempt me! They do normally rot around the rear arches particularly.

The n/s wing looks a bit suspect though

Wow they’ve aged well! What a lovely looking thing. Haven’t seen one in years.

Doesn't seem long since MK1 Puntos were everywhere! I had one in my youth, loved that little car, sold it for buttons 16 years ago and it'll have almost certainly been scrapped by now.

I bought a French blue 1995 one for my Mrs in 1999 and it was a great car, largely. Galvanised body and much nicer than the Mk II which seemed to be far worse quality.

Much as I loved it, the jacking points on my 1994 example were rotten enough to need some love from the hot metal glue gun by about 2003. Galvanising only went so far!

£1450 for the BTCC dream
smile

Pretty chequered MOT history for a low(ish) mileage car, including "Emissions not tested - cat stolen" earlier this year!

But it looks cool in an early 2000s kind of way, even with only a 1.6 engine to drag it along.
The BTCC replica Laguna featured earlier on this thread got spotted by a YouTube channel and subsequently featured in a giveaway event for that channel.

https://geoffbuyscars.com/product/the-i-want-a-tou...

Before the YouTuber stepped in, the Laguna seller said he had 500 likes on Facebook, and almost as many messages, but no serious offers...

Went for £2,050 which seems a lot of quirky metal for the money in the current market!

Haven't seen one of these for a very, very long time. Shame it's an auto.
