Ah, but the Ovlov has the 3-memory seats of power!
When buying my CLS I refused to buy one without 3 memory seats of power. Despite only 2 of us driving the car. Mrs PD called me a prat..I now feel exonerated.

Annoyingly, since buying mine, the arse seems to have fallen out of the value of the 211.
I paid ‘throw it away if it all goes wrong’ money, so hardly affects me.

Having done zero research on either car, think I'd prefer this one, mainly because it's green, not silver. Similar miles and money but slightly older.

(I actually have a silver S211)

I think that the saloon and estate values differ ever so slightly. Have you more info on yours?

How delicious.

I think that will be sold quickly, at that price.

On the subject of E500s

‘Jolty’ gearbox and liberal typos put me off a bit though. Could be a good one if there is a simple fix for the gearbox (somehow I doubt that though!)

If it's anything like my 211 with the same box it'll need a replacement valve body - easy (but messy) job, maybe 2 hours tops and £100ish for a 2nd hand one off the bay of dreams, plus about £50 for more gearbox oil.

Seems like good value - I bet you could have it for 2 bags. And a good colour/wheel combo too, I do like those alloys.

In my 211 it turned out to be the torque converter. That was £1000 if I recall correctly.

Interesting, was that the same symptom? i.e. rough from cold but fine when hot in specific gears?

Would that be a twin plenum edition? What a find...wonder what's wrong with it? £6k to play 'captain of industry' and friend of recovery men.

Probably more than a bargin than this £12.5 E350 CGI in apparently a rare colour spec with low mileage. Would it even return 30mpg? There doesn't appear to be may E500s coming up recently.

Undoubtedly someone will know/claim they're original and valuable, but the wheels are awful.

That's a pretty decent price I'd have thought (based on nothing objective beyond having been hypnotised into lust by the extraordinary shine). Nice usable daily classic.*

* Maybe.

From memory, the twin plenums came later, '86 or maybe 87. They also had a deeper, wide mouthed front splitter. They were rarer, and I'd expect to be more valuable too.

The inner Tony Pond in me would absolutely love that.

There's something to do with those engines breaking that you need to be aware of. I think it's something to do with camshafts and needing to know the engine/chassis number.... hopefully an adult/someone who knows what they're talking about, will be along shortly to give a a proper answer.

I'm never sure about the looks of the S212, but if that's the metallic sort of bronze/brown colour, I do like them in that flavor.
With the E350 I'd assume you can easily get over 30mpg out of it on a run, possibly as an average too, if you weren't too lead footed.

Whilst that one isn't cheap, it's quite a bit cheaper than this one, that's been for sale for quite a while and it's older but with less miles.
