Picture number 2 is especially brilliant. The seller's clearly a genius. CharlesdeGaulle said:

Meanwhile, for people who don't get stiff for old taxis:

£1,295, 88k miles, carpet stripes. Could be the last car you ever need to buy.
I like that. Why would it have no MOT history apart from the recent year though?http://www4.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

I have a 3.0 petrol in full 'old man' Sovereign spec, and it goes perfectly well for what it is, it's actually pretty nimble for such a large car. Sure, it's no XJR, but it doesn't have the running costs of one either. I bought it from the first owner, it has a mega history (he even went to the main Jag dealer for tyres!) and over £7k of options on it. Even though I've had it for four years now, I've no plans to sell it as it's just such a lovely thing to waft about in. Get a good one and you're laughing IMO.
Gearboxes generally sturdy at higher miles?0a said:
Six cylinder 190 with only 80k miles. If only it wasn't white with a blue interior http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C830404
That car's been for sale for eons, and the asking price hasn't dropped a penny either. Weird...SimonTheSailor said:

That depends whether that's a front or rear wheel
Wouldn't if depend if it was a left or right wheel ?That means it'll be rotating clockwise and therefor the tyre is on correctly.

Inconsistent and poor ad, but nice-looking car.

I feel I'm rather letting the side down, but I'll tell you anyway...
Tomorrow I'm collecting a 1999 911. It's a Carrera 4.
I know it's not a barge, and I can't stop thinking of how many nice barges I could buy, and probably another sports car too, for the same money.
But I'd rather regret doing something than not, and I said i'd own one before I'm 30, so I'm obliged to see it through.

Congratulations, what a fantastic achievement! Please post a reader ride thread and link to it from here. Tomorrow I'm collecting a 1999 911. It's a Carrera 4.
