Just before the whole VW nonsense my dad was looking at getting a Passat Alltrack in Crimson Red which seems a pretty rare colour, even though it looks awesome.

£610 for that colour.

£910 for Habanero Orange

I wouldn't worry too much about the Volkswagen issue. They say the safest restaurant to eat in is the one recently forced to up its game by the health inspector and the same principle works elsewhere. Buy something else and the manufacturer could be mired in scandal next week.
I think TVR used that VW colour for their more excitingly named Starmist Chianti. It was a standard TVR colour but rarely chosen. Here's my old Chimaera 500.

Look at this picture from 1985 - a cross section of family cars and hatchbacks from an average German town. The variety of colours is amazing - can you imagine someone in your office turning up in a brand new citrus yellow 5 series, a powder blue E class or a snot green Mondeo today?

Only seen a couple of 997's in this colour, as far as I can tell it's just called 'Porsche Green Metallic' (or is it Porsche Racing Green).

Looks lovely though..

:O Gorgeous!
Well not for me but it was called Forest Green I think, circa 98-2001

"Rainforest" green, I think. Couple more Porsche greens for you:

British Racing Green on the Macan, Brewster Green on the GT4

Brewster on the 918

BRG on the 991 Turbo S

No idea what colour it is, I’m colour blind

My first Fiesta was in Garnet Red which wasn't an official Fiesta colour.

Can't be too many Corsa's in this purple. Not a bad colour for a pretty bland/ generic car.

Mrs Eyerseys Corsa is this colour, I've seen a couple of others on the road

I liked this one, I'm not much of a C-GT fan but this worked.

I don’t know how we ended up with such monochrome car park scenes today but they look dreary compared to the photo posted above.

Compare that to this photo: VW diesels parked up after dieselgate. By no means is a limited colour palette a VW only issue, it's just an example.

I love colours like that. My E Class is Tanzanite Blue which looks almost black in some lights but really pops in bright sunlight.
I've seen other Mercs in a sort of green/black and a sort of plum/purple/black.

My RS Clio 200 Cup in Storm Grey. 1 of only 12 sold, even rarer if you factor in the Recaro chairs.
