A late 50's W120 or W121 Mercedes 180 or 190 (depending whether it was a 1.8 or 1.9 - I don't know if you can tell from that shot). The great great grandfather to the modern E Class.Edited by Dapster on Thursday 1st August 22:00

Sorry to quote all this again, but just to highlight my point..You know the post above this, the gold coloured 911 flat nose with the comment "the 80s have a lot to answer for" ?
I can't help but think we'll look back at this current crop and wonder what the hell people where thinking? (Well, some may think that now, I do) Not the cars themselves but the little flashes of colours used by everyone from Aston, McLaren, Porsche, Lambo, and the black wheels, chrome wraps etc. It's like taste has gone so far I can't help but think we'll 'sneer' at these the same way we do with some 80s cars.
You look at the 50s and 60s cars posted here and how tasteful they are! Green Aston DB6, lovely!
On the day of the Gloucester carnival, the city preacher was on his way to join the procession. Surely this qualifies as a "rarity" - the 944 turbo Gospel edition!
The driver was good-humoured, encouraged passers-by to take pics etc. I think I remember that, some years ago, the same guys did the parade in a similarly kitted Capri.

Beautiful carIt would worry me the minute you turned your back some clueless burke is going to park right next to it with not enough clear room to get out the car even though there's empty spaces everywhere.
