£8500 for a Civic Jordan.
Now i'm no expert with Civics but surely £8500 will put you in a EK9 Type R

Don't get me wrong , it looks like a lovely thing but that price seems a tad steep for what it is.

There is something wrong with the prices of Jordans. My good mate eddh of this parish had one in his barn for ten years. It was shagged when it went in, and didn't exactly benefit from the decade of seasoning. So when he had to get rid, I predicted it'd be worth naff all.

He was fighting potential buyers off with a stty stick, and got about £3500 in the end I think, for a barn find in need of an engine rebuild with no tax, MOT or log book.

Mental.

I saw this too, no idea what he's putting in his bong but it's heavily optimistic. There's an atlantis blue one which at least has low(wish) miles asking same money that has been for sale over a year. Started at £10k.

I have no idea what this is, but it cannot be worth 50k, can it?

this seems overly priced to me
2002 corolla tsport. under 100k miles

selling for £3k. if this was supercharged i could understand, but it's not. this is worth maybe 1k at the most.

best line has to be
"Defo ideal for any collectors looking to add to their portfolio of up and coming classics. What a good investment that needs to be looked after in this condition

what the fk?

A car that bankrupted three companies, you'd hope theres something good in there. Didn't it review poorly when new?

ROFL. Thing is, there are a few old gits with money who view these as the last "proper" looking XJ and want the youngest and healthiest example. He might find the right buyer if he's patient.

I'm sure they struggled to sell them and could be picked up new for about 50% of their rrp

Full CF tub IIRC, V8, RWD, price seems reasonable to me. It's comparable to a late model TVR, cheaper than a Sagaris or Weissman.

It absolutely does not have a full carbon tub.

Allegedly it has a few carbon panels, but drapped on a parts bin special of very cheap crate V8 engine, ancient chassis, 50p Punto Mk2 front lights, 20p rear lights from a Fiat Coupe, and an interior with plastics from the Early Learning Centre.

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole for half that price.

There is a video on youtube of someone with a body shell, naked. It looks to be fully carbon fibre, and the guys do say it is.

Considering they only made 85 or so, and there is only 1 for sale in the country, its worth what someone will pay for it. You might be waiting a while for another.

I realise it's undoubtedly had more spent on it than the asking price, but who in their right mind would spend £27k on this...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SMART-FORTWO-BRABUS-SMA...

Probably also qualifies for pointlessly modified as it seems like it's only capable of being driven fast in a straight line in the dry and attempting anything else would be dangerous, given it's dynamics and the laws of physics I doubt it could go around a corner much faster than a standard Smart car.

The guys from Bad Obsession Motorsport have a bare body shell and chassis as can be seen in the video below. The body shell / panels are all carbon fibre and it sits on a steel chassis.
