If you want a Mercedes Limousine you might as well go for a proper limo -

Not so much a driving video as evidence of attempted murder.

Sorry, I've been watching a lot of '80s & '90s action movies lately.

Wow who spec'd the leather! Not my first choice of colour but you couldn't really see it when you were inside and the car was faultless for 100k that I had it.

Perhaps too rough on fuel for my 50 mile a day commute? Maybe I'm swinging too far towards comfort.

Some interesting finds today.
The 600 - I like, but can’t justify two v12 luxo-barges.
The A8’s interior wouldn’t put me off, quite like it actually. It would be known as the Ribena car, (other squashes are available).
The XJS is ruined. Not a fan at all! This I can’t quite rationalise, as I like the Lynx Eventer conversions. Oh well, consistency is overrated.
The 560SEC wins the day though. That velour is phwooar.
More importantly though, I have (finally) picked up the 7 from the dealers, all is fit and healthy again. A trip over to Bradford & back to get the groceries this evening has brought back just how nice a place it is to be.
Finally, a question. The (main) Dealer who’s been looking after the car to resolve the misfire didn’t charge me labour for the idrive screen going on the fritz (past water damage), but appeared while in the workshop. Obviously that’s very kind of them (and excellent customer service - i.e. you’re all reading about it here), but I feel somewhat guilty about the zero-cost fix.
Therefore, what sort of gratuity would be appropriate? Not sure how many people in the dealership have worked on it - I have good contacts in terms of the service advisors now, but no idea how many mechanics there are out back. Ideas please?

Fair point! I guess I just think of Slough and Heathrow as being roughly adjacent. Being unkind to Slough is a bad habit of mine.
My favourite non-local airport is Frankfurt-Hahn... 130 odd km from Frankfurt.
Haha!My favourite non-local airport is Frankfurt-Hahn... 130 odd km from Frankfurt.
I remember two colleagues flew over to a tradeshow in Frankfurt in 2003. The boss was a cheapskate which meant they flew Ryanair not realising that Hahn was a good 90 minutes at least from the centre of Frankfurt
By the time they managed to get a cab and get to the tradeshow it was finishing!
