Cars you didn't know existed...
Discussion
Brilliant collection of blogs about Kei cars I stumbled across this morning.
In particular, reference to a 220bhp time attack version of the Copen which I now want even more than I want the ability to manufacture pizza from thin air.

Well worth a read. There's one on another car I never new existed too, the Honda S360, predecessor to the S500!

Sniffpetrol tweeted about the S-Cargo the other day and it reminded me to look it up. Lovely little thing.
I just love the bilingual pun in the name. And the shape of it. I am sure the designers were as happy with what they made as the owners probably are. Probably almost entirely owned by small caterers and florists.underwhelmist said:
Wow, thanks for introducing me to the bonkers work of Mr Colani. Did any of his designs have mainstream success?
The BMW 700 was his, allegedly.I bizarrely saw some of his concept cars on display at a shopping centre in Koblenz in 1997. Every one of them looked as if the Pink Panther might emerge from them at any moment.

It'd be terrifying enough driving that thing on the road, never mind taking it out to sea!
Oh I dunno, at least at sea you only get wet Doesn't seem to have a handbrake either, the dinky little chock(s) behind the rear wheel(s), as it seems to be on a flat surface as well.alpha channel said:

I saw that one as well and did a double take having not been aware of them either. I often see odd cars on DW though and sometimes have to resist the temptation to say 'nice detailing job, but why bother on that car?'.
The Crewman utes were made in fairly large numbers up until about 2007, and existed across the range of the Holden Utes. Ford Australia at one stage made a similar Falcon Ute.One of my employers purchased a new SS Crewman Ute with a 6.2 litre Supercharged engine it was great in a straight line but he couldn’t shake my 2006 Megane F1 Team Ltd Edition on twisty mountain roads. The Crewman just didn’t handle.

Ford never did a crew cab (4 door) version of their Ute. Holden Crewman and Ford utes are both cab chassis so the rear body unbolts. Holden also did a single cab chassis (one tonner) but the Holden Ute is monocoque.
The one that lapped the Nurburgring was a 6 litre VF, which never came in the crewman body, that died with VZ.
