It's nice to be able to press a button and drive into your garage when it's pissing with rain.
Can't disagree with those sentiments, it's just that they seem to have issues and I'd prefer manual ones to remove that likelihood, though being able to future proof to add electric at some point would be nice. acme said:

No pictures of the big selling point, the inside of the garage and what's above it. While the decking looks nice you can't tinker with a car on it.
There's a house for sale about half a mile from us, it's been on the market a few times in the last few years - has a weird shaped garden and the front needs a repaint and a jetwash but see if you can see what I was toying off convincing the wife of the other night ...NOW

It would be daft not to! Who wants a big long wall with a little gate in it? NOW

What's the asking price, out of interest...?
If you're asking about the one I showed, £475,000 I think ... 3-4 years ago it was about £100k less from memory ...The kitchen is tiny and it's all got a 1990s feel to it ... I wouldn't describe it as stunning if you saw it in the flesh ...

I literally couldn't care less about a house, as long as it fits me and the wife okay.
The main thing is the location, plot and garaging....!
The house I'm buying has a garage - not sure if you can actually fit a car into it though, she tight! Massive improvement from the "casual parking" at my current flat. Really looking forward to a driveway and garage!
Anyone know what the minimum practical garage size is? I know this one is 5.03m x 2.21m.

Garage sizes have grown steadily bigger over the years. A 1930/40s house would have a garage just big enough for an old Austin. A 1960s house (like mine) struggles to get a Mazda Eunos and a lawn mower in. New builds have much bigger garages. As for fit, depends if you're parking a Berkerley T60 or Bentley Bentaygar.Anyone know what the minimum practical garage size is? I know this one is 5.03m x 2.21m.

The house I'm buying is early 80's build, the car I want to put in it is BMW E46, or maybe an E28 if I can find one................... HugoFastmann said:

Internet tells me an E46 is 4471mm x 1739mm (excluding door mirrors). Length looks be fine, but I think you'll find it tricky getting the door open enough to get in and out comfortably.McAndy said:

My 1988 garage barely fitted a Mk3 MR2 and doesn't fit a Mk5 3 door Fiesta. Mk4 5 door fitted, just.K50 DEL said:
