I just googled Luigi Colani cars.
From now on I will never EVER call a mainstream car ugly, even if it’s a ssangyong rodius or Pontiac Aztec. All of his creations seem to be modelled on bottom feeders.
See what you mean. It’s like Thomas the Tank Engine had ugly sisters...
I quite like the large clock feature on the front. Nice touch.

Yes, Colani's designs were very innovative for their time.

X350 XJ6

Shame there was no Duratec V12-engined XJ12 or Lion V8 engined XJ8 D frown

It would have had a more comprehensive range:
XJ6 (3.0) - A8 3.0 - 730i - S280
XJ8 (3.5) - A8 3.7 - 735i - S350
XJ8 (4.2) - A8 4.2 - 745i - S450
XJ12 (5.9) - A8 6.0 - 760i - S600
XJR (4.2 S/C)
XJ6 D (2.7) - A8 3.0 TDI - 730d - S320 CDI
XJ8 D (3.6) - A8 4.0 TDI - 740d - S420 CDI

Whatever this thing is. No idea what it is.

Came across it at a Zoo last year. Blanked out the plate because that would be cheating. wink
I'd like someone who actually knows, to tell me.

Thanks. I wondered if it might be electric being in a Zoo, but it appears not.

I was wondering why microvans have all but disappeared now. Lack of demand or inability to meet any reasonable level of crash protection?

The base of the cab (back to front!) would make a very nice 50s sports car. biggrin

It's a Starion, so I'm assuming it's been rebadged as a Dodge or Chrysler? I'm sure they had a tie up with Mitsubishi

For true sportscar quality a Steinwinter Truck was better, with a height of 117cm, 250cm wide,

and 500 hp at the twin-tired rear axle :

Going by the lack of a Mitsubishi badge, it has to be a Chrysler Conquest.

Fast Bug and Barbaric Avatar, absolutely right. I never knew of the tie up. Chrysler Conquest, or maybe badged a Dodge or Plymouth.
