In a similar vein, I saw V 61 on a Range Rover Sport this morning.
Are plates like these really early issues or is that not always the case?

The M 42 plate was on the 42nd car registered in Cheshire after 1903
A 1 was the first plate for London in 1903

I know this because I have M 600

It was the wrong font for this thread anyway but I am interested as to what it was. Sadly seen travelling in the opposite direction on the A1 in Nottinghamshire, so didn't get a great look.

Not "adjusted" but if it was could read DATSUN.

I saw "Bo Bo" out in a Range Rover today, in Hartley Wintney. Didn't have the make up on, or the massive shoes, as far as I could tell. Although Chester E. Barnett has long since passed away.
