I suspect it's more likely to be an attempt to get a video to go viral

Zerofawkesgiven would have been dead if a car was coming the other way. Clip starts around 35 seconds.

Why would you even offer that clip?

Was probably happy to be in a place where he was able to offer up that clip... Any estimates on the speed he was travelling? The visibility before that stationary car appeared was pretty poor.

And who was responsible for the mess at 2:54? Am thinking the white van could have slowed a little to let the car in front off the sliproad, but the vehicle in front of that one seemed to be making a meal of getting onto the carriageway too.

This is all the fault of the car driver, no wait it was the road layout, no sorry they all do that so that makes it ok.

Tried to cover all the useless excuses there.

I was thinking Godzilla but your option works too.
Looks like an OAP lost control of their battery powered buggy.
Theres a part 2 on YT of the guys clip, which has the CCTV footage - its the one weve already seen, the one with the stolen builders yard truck and the small pug(?) stuck on its HIAB, storming down the street taking out wagons.

Or they are re-creating the opening of Sweeney 2 smile

amazes me how stupid some people can be. as a child you get told all the time 'do not run around the corner'. why would you be so stupid as to cycle in blind into a road that you cannot see.

Some real tools in there. 4.34 - kids crossing the road - obvious for ages - drive at them anyway - bell end.
Is it me, or does the standard of driving by the DCWs in these clips seem to be getting worse and worse by the week? In the past many of these clips were populated by non-events really - Someone doesn't give much space on a lane change/roundabout or something (so what, who cares, just let them in, give them space and move on with your life). However more recently almost every clip seems to include the cam car/bike Kamikaze into some small gap or go out of their way to escalate the situation. I know it has always been thus, but my god, almost every clip now the DCW is as much to blame (if not more in some cases) than the 'idiot' subject of the clip.

I need a dash cam to protect me from dash cams......

I think it's a case of people see loads of bad driving and decide to get one, they never stop to think that it's actually them who are the bad drivers and putting themselves in stupid situations.

6:32 the cammers driving really annoys me. This happens to me a lot (the C4). I'm happy to cruise in correct lane. So I hate in when lane 3 speed merchants assume that any predictable well indicated trespass in to their lane is like slapping their first born, just because they have to lift from 90mph.

Clearly the fault of the car driver, should have checked the way was clear before proceeding through the green light. Also Amsterdam and overweight drivers.

As Dibbers said, have a word with yourself.

It's up to YOU to make sure your maneuver is safe i.e. are you going to force another vehicle to alter their speed or course? If the answer is yes then you stay in your damn lane until the answer is no.

It's bad enough you think forcing another driver to lift off is acceptable, but in that clip the DCW actually had to brake.

If it happens to you a lot then maybe it's not other driver's speed that is the problem, hmmm?

Your driving really annoys me.

Looks to me like there are traffic lights for the cycle lanes, which were on red.

If you're causing people to have to adjust their speed you're doing it wrong. There's no way that was an appropriate lane change. Even if you take the point of view that as long as you're doing 70mph, faster traffic can't complain, the manoeuvre was still too late. He cuts in to the camera car's safety space.

Have a word with yourself. They just wheezed across all three lanes without a care in the world in one slow and poorly anticipated line of movement.

Who cares what Lane-3 was doing. The Merc had no business one-timing across the entire width of the carriageway.

Edited by dibbers006 on Sunday 16th July 11:41
Should clarify I'm not talking about dwadling at 55mph, I'm talking about being in lane one or two at 70+ with a vehicle approaching a bit faster or so, approaching a situation where it's obvious I need to overtake and the car behind closing or failing to ease off. Despite indicating well in advance. Often next lane is queue of slightly faster moving cars welded to lane 3 or 4 etc.

So think about it... do i keep waiting at till the mile of traffic behind me has passed lest they have to ease off?

The C4 or whatever it is was a bit slow but had the other vehicles used the lanes properly it wouldn't have happened. Why wasn't the cam car in lane 1 at start of clip?

This is why our motorway system is shgged. 5 lanes but everyone sits in outer lane because using all lanes and being considerate risks losing position.

Try driving in the continent. If you indicate to merge in. And accelerate it's fine. Do that here and drivers like you go mental.
