As unthread as cars get but if I was in Essex I'd buy this and flip it on the bay of fleas.

I'd like that myself. And I'm Thread.http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C308804

Alert to the fact my Bearding skills are fading fast and now living on the outer reaches of ‘Thread’ if I could ask for some collective wisdom on a crate I’m on the cusp of laying some loot upon.
Since I moved the 26R on I’ve been keeping a keen eye open for a new track weapon, accordingly the thoroughly charming Kerridges’ near to me suggested an Impreza Type 25
Initially I was pretty indignant to a the thought of being the biggest fish in Tesco’s car park late on a Friday night but when you dig a bit deeper you realise these are anything but.

I spoke with Litchfield’s yesterday and apparently this one had even more cabbage spent on it last year and now has about 460 gee gee’s at the engine and has also had a load spent on some very expensive Performance Friction stoppers fitted.
About 25k on the dial, full service with all the right people and under twenty bags, utter madness or still curiously Beard?

Sorry to hear the DT's are parting, although in the grand scheme of things (and growing up) it does seem to make sense.
With regards the 26R/Impreza et al dilemma......what would the car be used for?
Track days, track days and three times track days and of the European adventure varietyWith regards the 26R/Impreza et al dilemma......what would the car be used for?
I tried, for about fifteen seconds, to get in a Elise 111 something or other on Saturday, its never ever going to happen.
Another 26R perhaps but there again it comes under the whole ‘been there done that’ banner perhaps?

Its called growing up 'Norf. It sucks.
Trouble is Davidius a good mate and indeed PH Illuminati came out with a line that has wrung in my ears ever since.“The trouble is we have done it to death”
He was spot on, with the Listergate affair and simply never ever having the time to use the Dee Tee’s you really do start to wonder why, as you rightly say its growing up but forty two isn’t exactly archaic?
I did have an offline discussion with Heir V8 last week, this condition has gotten so bad I got to point where I couldn’t ever offer up much in the way of Thread input, quite alarming when it happens you know
Best foot forward with chopping the old ML out for something fractionally more athletic as a daily smoker, I’m thinking Spec B Legacy Estate with some suitable bonnet plumage, a silver pheasant ought to do the trick?

How hard could replacing all of the bushes at the front of my Pooma be? Is it a driveway job for a clumsy sod with no patience and a very basic toolkit (me) or is it something for the professionals?
Worst case scenario, you'll need to burn some of the old ones out, whoever does it. And, potentially, you'll need a press for some bushes too. jonnydm said:

On the presumption that a Pima is the same as a fiesta/escort/focus...You just buy a pattern part lower wishbone, with bushes already fitted. Doddle. If your smart, you get the van version, as there stronger than the car version. I don't think they did a Puma van though! Really not a hard job.
