I think they only sold the electric version in the UK but there are non electric versions available elsewhere in Europe. It's an emerging market car iirc.
I was given one as a hire car in Barcelona a few years back. Drove to the gates of the compound, turned around and gave it back. They swapped it for a SEAT Altea(?). Still not good, but like a Merc S-Class in comparison.

Shouldn't the electric version be called an e-Fluence? Or does that sound a bit st?

If its battery is flat then isn't it the Flatulence?

Insignia Convertible.

Actually looked quite good in a Vauxhall kind of way.

Totally flew under my radar before the other day at the traffic lights with the roof down.

Ah but it's called a Cascada.

It does look quite good as these things go, especially the rear, but I can’t imagine why anyone would want one.

I think one with a V6 would be a suitably sportless, cruising convertible.

Unfortunately they don't do one, so I'm sure they're mostly a diseasel.

Just noticed they start at 1.4 - looked like a bit of a wafter to have such a small engine.

How about a Saab 99 that's actually a Daihatsu?

Actually this really is a Saab 99. it's a preproduction prototype in disguise. Saab chose Daihatsu as they were able to make the word "diahatsu" by bdising the letters from a badge they already had - "Saab Sport"!!

I think they actually sold a couple. And by that I mean a couple. We had one on loan for a show, it was alright actually, like a Megane with no boot and very limited range.

No market for here at all.

I sold half a dozen or so Fluence new and another 3 or 4 used ones after Renault UK decided to shove them up our arse as no other dealer would take them

Is it!? I'm not exactly up on my modern Vauxhalls - but that looks lardy for an Astra

Yep! If you sit in one, the interior is pretty much the same as the Astra J. It's the reason they didn't get the V6, as mentioned earlier and the reason it was built in the Gliwice factory in Poland that produces Astras
