The "S**t Driving Caught On Cam" Thread (Vol 5)
Discussion
I must admit, I didn’t realise filtering was even a thing (or a word) until this thread took off, and in general don’t have a problem with it (honest!) or bikes. Traffic light controlled junctions, pedestrian crossings etc., I genuinely don’t have a problem with it. Yes, as has been said the bike (usually) will be away faster than the car, and gone - absolutely fine.
I think my bugbear junction is perhaps a infrequent occurrence for most drivers and riders - a busy B Road with a T junction right turn onto a even busier A Road. Bikes automatically filter and in this type of junction it’s maybe not the best thing to do.
Anyway, enough is enough - thanks for your input, let’s get back to the DCWs (and no, I don’t have one...)!

The clip with the road raging Audi, though I hate brake checking. DCW really brought that on himself, lane hogging and changing lanes when Audi starts undertaking, this looked antagonistic rather than coincidence that they both changed lanes at the same time, he then did it again a couple of times. He was trying to provoke a reaction and was shocked when he got his reaction.
It's not hard is it? Overtake the slower car then move back in. I do this, never been undertaken, never been brake checked (apart from when I've flashed a lane hogger who gets uppity, I don't rise to it, no point) and I find it makes my driving much more relaxing.

I must admit I find watching these videos harder and harder. Not because of the poor quality of driving captured as there are some interesting clips but because of the dashcammers themselves. So many are just hell bent on causing issues and recording it. Provoke the issue then marvel at the reaction, it's pretty pathetic.
Myself and my partner both have a dash cam in our cars. It just sits there recording goings on in case were were ever involved in an accident. I can honestly say both cameras have probably recorded maybe two genuinely interesting incidents in about 5 years. Anything else would have been the expected mistakes from other drivers which I'm sure if we'd have provoked a reaction would have been 'fascinating'. It did act as a witness for an accident that occurred further up the road which the camera captured and helped someone make a claim. That's literally it.

you're very likely not a sad attention seeking low achiever, who can only have any self worth for their deeds in what they can upload to YouTube or social Media though.Myself and my partner both have a dash cam in our cars. 3:20 What on Earth is Barry playing at? He looks to be both braking and moving to the left to create as much space as possible and reduce the danger of the pickup's terrible overtake becoming a terrible accident. Fortunately, Robert is along in the next clip to show how it should be done, accident avoided despite best efforts this time but I'm sure you'll get one soon champ.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
