Seriously Overpriced Cars

We had one of these for sale around a year ago, a green estate. Horrible thing to drive, slow and thirsty. Around £600 I think we got for it. Tbh, the 2 litre ZETEC engined versions were a whole lot better..
This seller has a few overpriced cars for sale. '02 Fiesta for £3k etc.

Un-reasonably priced, reasonably priced car:
£13-15K...
to be fair it has had an interesting life!

"Never raced or rallied"
The exterior is in "excellent" condition despite all the stickers, the interior is "good" condition even though half of it is missing and there is a rollcage in there, the running gear is also good when it has famously had a hammering and to top it off "One of the most popular parts of the 'classic' Top Gear period was the 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' ". bks.£13-15K...

There is so much hyperbollix in this add...and then £11k for a 1st gen with 112k on the clock....

Don't get me wrong, great cars - and rightly appreciating... but that is daft money for that one.
Unfortunately I'd say that's realistic, can't remember the last time I saw one of these lovely machines. Couple that with not many in Japan (I found 3 on goo-net over 100,000kms), and the cheapest was £13k just for the car not included getting it here etc. https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1119630

The advert though is utter drivel and I would pay more not to buy it from them!

Is this really an SLK55 Black Series?
It has a Black Series badge but referred to as a black edition. I can't see anything different from a standard SLK55 except for the wheels?

That is most definitely not a black series.
The fact the roof is down is a big give away
You're thinking of the SL..re the roof..The fact the roof is down is a big give away

There was an SLK Black Series, well before the CLK and SL. I remember reading the top gear magazine review when it was out. It wasn't very good, rides too hard.
I think that is one, obviously a check will reveal.
It will be ab incredibly rare car.

I'm pretty sure the slk had a fixed roof. A friend used to own one. There was an SLK Black Series, well before the CLK and SL. I remember reading the top gear magazine review when it was out. It wasn't very good, rides too hard.

Edit.. They agree.

Without going into it all,
No vents in the wing, no bucket seats, no alcantara steering wheel, no wider arches. The ad even states 360bhp not the 400 that a black series came with.

They can claim what they want but they're just being a stupid chancer. There was never a black edition although some people did refer to the black series as the black edition.
That car is simply a standard slk55 that's had parts fitted to it like a bmw 3 series can have an M performance pack or whatever it is.

No vents behind wheels
No bulging arches
No 400hp engine
No fixed carbon roof
No recaro race seats
No Carbon door cards
No red magnetto on dash
No alcantara wheel
It’s a fake
