A rarity, but definitely NOT a supercar; the first ever Vauxhall Ampera I saw near Eastbourne today. Unfortunately I as driving so no photos; not that you'll be disappointed by that.

I thought at first it was an old VW bus from the side view but was surprised to find it was actually an old Transit.

I don't care about this car, but why do you say the test drives are a waste of time?
Because they’re in the West End of London! I cancelled my test drive because of this. Not that I was ever going to buy one, I was intrigued to see how they handled as I really like the look of them.
Huh? What if it was simply being driven to or from some sort of event or showing? You cancelled a test drive of a car you didn't want to buy as it was seen in central London?

Am I missing some sarcasm or something?

I think he means the test drives take place in the west end, not really the perfect location to get a feel for the type of car

Stolen from PH’s very own Instagram page:

What’s with the Q plate?

Spotted in London (but not by me).

So you arranged a test drive for a car you were never going to buy simply because you wanted to thrash it?

Nice...

a bit too batmobile-esque for me although I am sure it is utterly amazing. Could be the angle but the spoiler looks like its a foot wider than the car on either side. Could prove tricky in London traffic. Cyclists beware!

I read something on insta about the donor car being write off, so possibly rebuilt from the crashed London Zonda from few years ago?

Whatever the story, the owner must be pretty cheesed off at ending up with a Q plate.

I don't think it will ever be registered as a UK Car...

The owners collection all resides in Hong Kong.

No surprise, HK is the city with the most Zonda's in the world.

I believe this is the Spectre Defender. One of 7 made. There’s one for sale at Tom Hartley junior for a staggering £265,000 in case you’re interested.

The one I spotted had one of those big yellow steering locks on the steering wheel, so presumably they’re not too hard to nick.

My god, that McLaren GT is hideous.

The proportions, not just the colour or the chrome.

Wouldn’t go as far as hideous, but agree there is something about the styling that doesn’t quite work.

They seem to ride too high somehow. Perhaps it’s on some ‘comfort’ setting.

What a mess. The Cullinan has shorter overhangs and better proportions!!
