Yes, but she wouldn't have been able to whinge at the bus had she been in a better road position. It was close too, I mean she must have only had about 20m between her and the bus when she slowed to a virtual stop wink
Positioning of the cyclist suggested that they were turning left. It's a difficult one - if I were in that position then a a clear eyeball on the bus driver and clear signals (whether that be turning, or going straight on) would help. Always assume the worst!

That’s pretty much an average day on the public highways of West Sussex.
4:00 - might show your priority but that doesn't mean you charge through the crossing at oncoming traffic, same at 4:35 with a pinch point
How long do you wait for the cars to keep coming at you before you should expect them to yield?

Got a section near me that's similar that if you waited, most cars would just keep coming through.
I'm with you - it's just rudeness, and I have no issue with my making people slow down to be able to complete their manoeuvre (which I would never block, for the avoidance of doubt) in that scenario. In the opposite scenario if I can't get through in time, then I don't go. It's not hard, but there's always someone whose time that's more important than yours.

Those things don't accelerate or stop like cars though so there are going to be times when they have to do stuff like that.
No, they really don't have to. banghead

If HGV driver had done that on his test it would have been a fail. That tells you all you need to know about what's right or wrong by the letter of the law/Highway code.

Or do what everyone else, who doesn't have right of way, is expected to (and generally does); wait until there is a gap or someone let's them out.
Exactly.

(But, as I did say previously, DCW could have been more considerate, and if he had, there wouldn't have been a clip to be watched.)

This was posted on one of the HGV dash cam fb pages and the driver of the overtaking lorry said the cam truck sped up when he was mid overtake, then when he ran over to his cab threw his keys into the bush and pulled him down from his cab. Still a stupid overtake but don’t see the need for the cam driver to go running over. When two bellends meet...
Impossible to tell from the footage whether the first HGV sped up, but I can't imagine it could do so fast enough to block, especially as he continued to overtake the Focus on crossed hatchings, then stopped in the road to have a fight. Other driver doesn't even go to cab, let alone drag him from it. Only thing he should be delivering is his CV to the job centre.
This is the only comment that was given, all deleted from social now.

Not sure if this weeks Welshdrive was posted but the last clip was quite impressive. Don't think they hit either barrier and they didn't get smashed into whilst across both lanes.

An absolutely clueless moron no doubt but one of many even I see on a regular basis. Compared to many I don't do that many motorway miles a year (12k-ish) yet see this often. Just on Sunday evening I passed multiples sitting in lane two or three whilst I sailed past at the speed limit in lane one!

...then he should ask for a refund on the extra tuition.

Just 3 miles in L2 on the M6 toll? That constitutes lane discipline on there. I reckon I've seen easily double that, likely more.

No, you're right. The possibility can't even exist that an HGV would ever have to move into a gap that's less than ideal.

Go to London and you'll see hordes of car drivers just falling over themselves to let buses out from their stops.

Guys at 5.31 haven't worked out how it's done. Shaking hands? Leaving without a fight/argument? What is the world coming to?

Have we had HGV dash cam? The second clip looks like they're shining a laser into the cab.

And the woman in the first one sounds like she is enjoying it entirely too much.
