people who wear those rubber wristbands for charity, apparently having a bit of rubber with some words embossed means youre a caring individual?

And Car Giant has a great reputation, does it not?
It took her 3 days of driving it before she noticed they were different as well hehe

Pound to a Penny she didn't spot it at all. It was probably another member of her family, or a friend!

so playing a game of "chicken" with idiots is illegal?they who think ill slow down to allow them to make their asshat overtake into my path as shirley mistaken, civilian life is boring and whatever will get the adrenaline going ill take it, im not scared to die so i will put my foot to the floor, but they usually give up and pull back in behind the car they were trying to pass in the first place.

maybe im the asshole, but i like it the way it is.

Juke Driver today on Southbound M6

! am on about 68 on cruise in lane 1. This was approaching in L2 for some distance back ( trainee MLM) and as they were approaching i was coming up to lorry in L1 so i put on indicator to let them know i wanted to get out.I expected either a quick 'ok' flash so i could get around and back or a quick squirt from them so i could tuck in behind. Nooooooo gets level with me and sits there, it was a definate slowdown by them. so i brake, drop back and pull around them L1.2.3.2.1 and give them some distance. back to cc and bugger me they are up again, this time i pop out in front before they try it again and ,again get some road between me and them. back in L1 enjoying the ride and they come screaming past in L2 and continue, but fro some reason i am stil on cc and catch them up again!!!. Luckily there was the 50 limit roadworks around Manchester and they got blocked in ,and disappeared in my mirror. and whatr is it with guys who, while you are going past them in L2, again on cc at 70, so it was a steady gain on them ( i suppose they were doing about 60) decided to match your speed when you are level with them????

The good bit

M6 near Brum Hard Shoulder running due to heavy traffic.. My own personal lane, passing everyone in L1/2/3 at 65 when they are stop start around 50 ish.
Nissan Qashqai/Joke drivers are notorious for being throbbers and L2/L3 hoggers.

You may not make advance progress on me in my plastic 4x4, how very dare you.

Yes it is. It's still illegal if both participants are found to be below the idiot threshold.

Another thing making me think "knob" lately is the amount of people who use L2 unnecessarily - especially on DC's and especially when entering a DC from the get go.

Like the bloke last night in the battered focus who went into L2 on the roundabout and straight into L2 on the sliproad onto the DC - whilst I was in L1. Of course I undertook you, I have a faster car and for the time you've been behind me until this point I have done nothing to make you think I'm going slow.

Why should I hammer on the breaks in L1 to avoid an undertake while you're dragging your arse along in L2? Move over!

It should be noted that he remained in L2, despite there being no other traffic apart from me in sight (who by this point was well ahead).

If you're not a troll you need your license revoking. Speechless.

You are not responsible for being in that situation. Someone has initiated an overtake without ensuring there is enough room ahead. That's a Dangerous or Careless Driver. If you fail to do anything about it and have more than ample opportunity to do so you will be failing to drive to a standard expected of a competent driver and it would be a Due Care and Attention issue.

Did that made you feel proper solid? Completely unacceptable behaviour. Do us all a favour and keep your hands off other peoples property.
I don't think it's completely unacceptable. I think it's quite a proportionate response.
Horrible behaviour and only undertaken as the poster saw it was a woman in the car - he wouldn't have the guts to do it to a bloke - guaranteed.

On your test, overtaking slow moving traffic into oncoming traffic is not a fail.

Edit: 28 secs onwards, this is fine: https://youtu.be/z-1QKVtuvHg

They normally get them given to them for a donation - same as a poppy or badge or whatever.

They don't just buy them to make themselves feel good, it's show of support you cumwallet.

Saturday I was sitting in some stationary traffic and there was a queue of stationary traffic going the other way. A motorcyclist goes to leave the petrol garage sees the traffic probably thinks to himself f**k that and proceeds to drive along the pavement for around 20 meters before cutting into the traffic further up! I wish I had a dash cam and caught them on camera.

I assume his post was in reference to the fact that you can donate whilst not advertising the fact to others?

Doesn't make me think knob either way but I do think that a wristband isn't quite the same as a poppy. The poppy is symbolic of one battle and are worn for a month once a year as a mark of respect (although there is clearly a fundraising aspect to it as well).

I put wristbands in the same category as tattoos marking the death of a relative or some such. Doesn't mean their relatives were more important to them than others who don't feel the need to tattoo themselves - it's all preference and it's a good job we are all different.

You're wrong. If the second driver hadn't noticed the first one, then yes. However we're not talking about that; we're talking about a conscious block or aggressive defence. This is not inaction, this is a positive act of aggression. Any driver doing that would get arse raped by the law. How could anyone possibly think they could cause an accident in order to 'serve someone right'? That's like stabbing someone because they tried to steal a load of bread from your shop. Absolute insanity. Someone close this madness down?!

That's exactly what they're for - to make yourself feel better by brandishing your charity in front of others.

If you just wanted to donate to a good cause, you'd put your money in the box and move on. An altruistic donation gives you just as much of a fuzzy feeling, wearing a band or badge is about societal confirmation.

The stupid bint who reversed into my car today. It was in a pub car park, she was leaving (after drinking?) while I was tucking into my Sunday roast, and managed to reverse into my car despite the fact that she could have driven straight out from where she was without reversing.
Not too much damage but my car is low value so may get written off!
Luckily I took some pictures immediately as I caught one of her "friends" cleaning her paint off of my wing!

Two Knobs together on Fri pm, this time southbound on the M74 just north of the junction with the A701 about 16.30. Both Drivers of a Transport firm from the Carlisle Area who also runs a Rail franchise and has had their own series on TV. Unfortunately i couldn't get the girlie names of the cab units ,nor do i remember the Reg nos.

But a big thank to both of them who decided that the M74 really needed being a 1 lane motorway by elephant racing for about what seemed to be 2-3 miles that i had them in front of me watching it commence from about half a mile away, to some 5 min later when i lost them in the rear view mirror
Knobs of the highest order. Why didnt the L1 driver just back of for a minute or so instead of creating this knobbishnesh of the highest order?
