Years ago I saw Prince Andrew, driving a Bentley with a number plate ending in DOY (Duke of York).

Didn't spot if he was sweating...
Are you sure the plate didn't mean Daughter of Yours?

I was on my way to the South of France with the family for a holiday back in 2013. We saw Michaela and Carl Fogarty at Newport Pagnall Services.
He was really friendly.

Moons ago, when out on a hack mum and I used to run into Roger Daltrey quite a lot as he lived in the area. Didn't really mean anything to me as a young lad but was nice as pie and drove round in his Morris Minor.

Around 1991 I saw Vivien Heilbron (A woman who did the bookkeeping for Frank Butcher at Frank's Autos in EastEnders) she was driving ( by herself, no driver/bodyguard) a black escort at the time I became a bit flustered and started asking all sorts of questions about EastEnders and Frank Butcher, she smiled sweetly and told me in so many words to go away...but after shaking her hand I did find that the problems with carpal tunnel in my right hand had more or less gone. My biggest regret was that I just wish I had clasped her hand with both my hands, as the problem in my left wrist was a great deal worse.

To flip this around a little, who remembers the TV show Soldier Soldier?

I used to get a lift to work from a colleague who drove a Mk2 Escort.

One evening watching Soldier Soldier and a new character arrived namely Kate Butler, driving my friends Mk2 escort.

Following day spoke to her about it, they apparently needed a beaten up old car, and paid her £50 to borrow it for the day.

Does Rishi Sunak really drive a Kia Rio? Has anyone seen him drive anything?

Will 100% be a photo op to make him look like a 'man of the people'... don't fall for it.
He's dripping in wealth from a number of sources isn't he?

Wouldn't be the done thing to flaunt it though in his current employment - even if he was into cars.

"Couldn't do pay at pump mate, would have been way over the £99 limit to fill it"
" I take it that is your Fiat 500 at pump number 6"

He must have had that plate for years, as I saw him in a Golf GTI, must have been last 80s, with the same reg!

Apparently the Kia Rio belonged to a Sainsbury's employee who got £30.01 of petrol paid for by the Chancellor by lending it to him for the photo op.

Saw JW in a greasy spoon in south London c15 yrs ago and the plate was then on a white Range Rover. Which was parked on the double yellows outside the cafe.

Technically speaking I didn't actually see him the car but hopefully it's an acceptable spot.

On reflection, I wish I could remember the name of the cafe rather than the 'ooh is that Jimmy White?' moment as the sunday morning fry-up was excellent.

Saw (and briefly spoke to) Ronnie Corbett when he parked up in a Merc C or E class on Cockburn Street in Edinburgh a few years ago. He joked about coming in for some body piercing later (he was visiting the little antiques shop).

A mate of mine used to deal with insurance for his cars and dealt with him regularly over a period of time. Always said he was a bit of a bellend in real life.

Tiff Needell in a BMW 550i belting down the outside lane of the M40 near Bicester.
Lily Allen, not technically driving, but she happened to be collecting her white Q7 from West London Audi whilst I did a bit of training there
David Coulthard, think it was a Renault 19 Charade 16v in about 1993
Ulrikaka Johnson in a Range Rover but then she lives about 10 mins from me and one of her daughters is in same year as mine.
Tim Henman, various Mercs. Again lives in the next village.
Kylie being driven in a blacked out Range Rover. She used to keep her ponies where my other daughter has hers
Plato in his Porsche
Tim Harvey also in a Porsche
Matt Neal in a pick up of some sort, think it was a Ford Ranger?
I can't believe I forgot this one.

Colin McRae in his Subaru Legacy loaner road car, absolutely thrashing it along a country lane near where I used to live ( It was the day before the 1991 RAC).

I live near Rishi Sunak and often used to drive past his nice but not OTT house and have never seen anything more interesting than generic SUVs . He's a Star Wars kinda guy I think , so he is more likely to collect lite sabers than Alfas .
Agreed. Politicians aren’t the sort of people that drive around Knightsbridge in a blacked out G Wagon making as much noise as possible! Would be funny though.
Lol!

Ronnie Corbett sent his children to the same state primary school as I went to in Shirley, Croydon. They were driven in his Rolls-Royce

I find the remark that he was a "bell end" offensive.....it is offensive to those people who really are bell ends
