What do you drive? How much attention?

Mainly good responses when i am driving this....apart from Range Rover Sport drivers who tend to dive into the ditch when they realise you aren't moving over
It's true that many drivers have an 'I'm not getting out of your way' attitude when I'm driving my Range Rover Sport that do not seem to manifest it's self when I'm in the Defender. Sad to see that alibream appears to have adopted the same irrational approach.
I'm a bit late to the party on this one but thought I would chime in as I have a couple of BMW's that might be interesting to folks.
My blue M135i 5 door doesn't get noticed much at all but if it does it's usually pretty negative really (not letting out at junctions, gestures etc); the other one though is a white M235i Convertible which does seem to get noticed more and if anyone comments its always positive (nice looking car etc) - funny that - could be the opposite of what might be expected.
I still get frequent admiring glances at my black Maserati Granturismo though, it's seven years old now, its only the 4.2 which I got new but is still in lovely condition - I think that one is on its way to timeless classic status going by the comments I get (lovely Italian style, no one can make a car look/sound like the Italians etc) - overwhelmingly people seem to like it.
My old red Ferrari 348 is still the real head turner though, which is strange because its not the most loved Ferrari - I think maybe its the uninitiated that see any Ferrari and then have a polarised love/hate opinion - if anyone comments though it's always positive with selfies and even offers to buy it when I park up or fill up. Doesn't matter much because I like and its not being sold, ever, nor the Maser.
For completeness, my wife has a silver Range Rover Sport (she is the stereo type; attractive, blonde, sunglasses) which contrary to popular belief attracts no attention whatsoever...

Particularly in a nice dark blue. Black suits S-class Mercedes, not these.
I've had a couple of comments of the "V12? Really?" kind, but it only really gets noticed on the Motorway, where everyone seems happy to get out of its way
That is very smart. The E38 is an enduringly good design, especially on those wheels (style 32's?).I've had a couple of comments of the "V12? Really?" kind, but it only really gets noticed on the Motorway, where everyone seems happy to get out of its way
My daily is a golf GTD, it gets zero reaction when I'm driving it, however lots of people I know have said about how much they like it and fancy owning one
The Maserati Gransport gets a lot of attention, much more than I expected, it's 99% positive with only the occasional moron wanting to tell you what a masturbator you are

AEC Matador in Billy Smarts colours.... lots of attention, waving and pointing etc! Other road users tend to give it a wide berth, or perform suicidal overtakes at every opportunity because its so slow. (7.7L 100bhp, 200million ft/lb, 14 tons) You do get the odd throbber who seems to think they have right of way though and try to 'force' you to get over or reverse?!?
A5 Sportback in red with the smallest wheels I could order, (TDi brigade) people used to dive out of the way, let me out of junctions etc - wierd. (expect for a pickup truck in early August...as a result I now have a pool car, see below)
Toyota Avensis in Taxi white. It's invisble and deserves to be.
Outlander PHEV in black (16 model), people have a desire to try and get past, which is odd given its slow for lump of iron and lithium... pedestrians don't hear it so step out in front of you...in that score people tend to look more surprised than anything!
Ratty, sleeper Mazda Montrose (now sadly gone) - No reaction at all until you start it up and either damn near kill yourself on an aggressive upshift or fly past someone who was giving you a disdainful look in their pricy exotica (yes, I'm jealous!) - only car I've had where people used to get the camera phones out.

Peugeot 205 gti - not loads of attention but have had people leaving notes on the windscreen asking to buy it and occasionally get other drivers winding down their windows to tell me how much they love it or that they used to have one. Has a lot of appeal to real enthusiasts but everyone else thinks it's just an old car. Gets some negative attention when accelerating in 30s as it sounds faster than it's going.
TVR Sagaris - just an absolutely insane amount of attention. Think you'd have to spend £300k plus on another brand to get the same amount. All overwhelmingly positive as well. Was parked in the same car park as a green 675lt a few weeks ago and came back to find more people crowded around my car than that.

I have to say I have always waved at Defender drivers when in Mrs RSKs's Discos or FFRR and nearly always get one back. I'll keep an eye out for ali and see if he joins in

I think BMWs can be a funny one really. It seems anything "mainstream", and I'd put the 135i in with that, as although its clearly a performance model, still just looks like a normal 1er to most, seems to get tarred with the BMW wker image.
Anything a bit more classic/exotic seem to get more positive attention, which is why I don't think I suffer any abuse in my Z4 Coupe, and didn't when I had my E36 328 Sport Coupe.
Well, most of mine get attention, some good, some bad:
'69 Mustang Mach 1, this just seems to be universally loved, I can't go anywhere without people commenting positively or coming over for a chat, everyone stares and give thumbs up.
R8 V10, this is big time marmite, I get some very nice comments, but some pretty awful ones as well, I think it's due to the fact I'm in my late 20's and do look young for my age to boot, it really brings the worst out in some ('st car', look at this wker, couldn't afford a Lambo, etc, etc), but for every negative, there is usually a 'that's a beautiful car' kind of comment.
Supra, this is a serious guy magnet, not a good tool for picking up women certainly, some think it's just an annoyingly loud old Japanese car(which, in reality, it is), but for guy's in their 20's that like cars, it's the greatest thing known to man, most popular question 'how much bhp?'
944S2, I think the best way to explain this car is 'appreciated', it's in very good condition, gleaming guards red paint with cream interior, so it just seems to get the 'that's in beautiful condition' and 'lovely looking car' kind of comments, never anything nasty but nowhere near the Mustangs type of attention.
E Class, as you'd expect, completely unnoticed.
Next car on the purchase list is a C6 Corvette, that one will be interesting, it will look like an expensive exotic to non car people, but have that American hero charm at the same time, so I really don't know what to expect.

I've been to petrol stations in TVRs, Ferraris, E-Types, V8 F-Type etc. Nobody cares. You might find someone boredly looking in your direction if you feel the need to look for who's looking at you but if you just get on with your own business the attention isn't there.
Maybe you're just a scary looking mutha fka? More often than not someone chats to me at a petrol station in the Sagaris.Marc p said:

Black Q7. Never get let out at junctions or get any positive interaction. Only person who seems to like it is the Romanian guy who runs the local car wash who is convinced I'm an undercover cop cos he saw me wearing an NYPD t-shirt one time so I'm sure he only pretends to like it
