Very nice motor for 9k.
Memory heated massage seats, too.

Not many folk will drop 9grand into a ten year old V8 that’s done 200k miles.

It doesn’t look ten years old.

4.9secs to 60. That’s impressive no matter what you think of that as a metric.

Is it supercharged?

ULEZ compliant - hilarious!

232k mile on a supercharger XJ. Getting there
That example has been knocking around for sale for ages. I’m sure I saw it a year ago.

If that wasn't wedding white, a money-pit, overpriced or leggy I'd have that.

VW Transporter I spotted on Facebook. 300,000 miles and certainly worse for it:

Someone paid 2k for THAT?

And no doubt they'll want to sleep inside it.

Ex-AA van?

I think it has reached the end of its life!

(Mind you I've seen longer fail lists brought back to life!)

The fail sheet is as long as Eamonn Holmes' Breakfast order, but is that just not Brown Spray Paint doted over the body?

I mean a trader is trying to sell a restored one with 200k miles for £9k, the list of fail is long but I imagine it's economically repairable.

WOW that's amazing. What was the car doing??!!!?!?!
We have contractors who routinely take their Hilux's for MOT at 200,000mile or more.

75k a year is normal for them.

3hr drive to site. Work. 2hr drive to site. Work. 3hr drive home.

Do that 5-6days a week. Out the house 4am to 7-8pm every day.

We had cars at work doing that ( and more ) running 24/7 and a major service monthly!

500/600 miles a day wasn’t unusual

Does look very decent! Impressive considering the engines had a habit of grenading themselves at higher miles, I’m sure I heard?

Looking at some of these I feel more impressed how my dad used to clock the miles in his Sierras.

He used to be a taxi driver mid 90s into early 2000s and had 3 Sierras. 1.8l he took to 200k miles and 2 2.0l 8v he took to over 300k miles. Did about 60-70k miles a year from memory.
Then he switched to Mondeos. He had 1 diesel that did about 250k miles then switched back to petrol as he found them easier to work on himself. 1 he pushed to 400k miles the last one around 200k before he retired.

Some of his colleagues would laugh because they would get Mercedes or Toyotas and say Fords were unreliable but in all that time with Fords he only ended up breaking down unable to drive home 3 times. Most of the time he would repair himself and nurse it home.
