That advert is a mess, how many times does he need to say inspections welcome!

Toyota Prius and these Insights are most common taxis round my way so presumably lived a taxi life

Does look very decent! Impressive considering the engines had a habit of grenading themselves at higher miles, I’m sure I heard?
Not the 451, these have a Mitsubishi 1.0 triple, and like most Japanese motors are pretty bombproof. The start stop system on, MHD (I think?) models could cause huge problems but the engine is essentially solid

Interesting to know, thanks! That one does look in good order-worth a punt to someone who wants a runaround!

I ran a quartet of original shape Smart 450 with the blowm merc triple, and believe they are a true design icon. Engines can get smoky about 70k plus but are relatively easy to rebuild if you know a 'the man'...absolute hoot

I love how the ad starts with "clean and tidy" looks far from it. I don't think I've ever seen such a bad headlight as the drivers side one. Does any light escape from the full beam? Looks like somethings exploded in there.

"Believe me, not your eyes, car is in perfect condition"

The whole car is in shocking condition, it is not clean on the outside, and let alone tidy inside.
I can imagine the mechanical condition of this car

WOW that's amazing. What was the car doing??!!!?!?!
We have contractors who routinely take their Hilux's for MOT at 200,000mile or more.

75k a year is normal for them.

3hr drive to site. Work. 2hr drive to site. Work. 3hr drive home.

Do that 5-6days a week. Out the house 4am to 7-8pm every day.
But thats a Hilux.
Thats along with Land Cruisers is expected.

I think to be in the Hilux, or Land Cruiser high mile club, you really need 500,000 miles.

Is that Jonny Smith (of The Late Brake Show)'s old Insight? He mentioned in the latest Smith & Sniff podcast that he's bought/buying it back and plans on doing a restoration of sorts with it, it's done mega mileage and it's quite untidy.

No, his example is the previous generation Insight.

93k on a Tesla M3. Not stupidly high mileage but interesting to see what the market is like for this..

Seems a lot when you can buy one from a dealer on 33k miles for 35k. Looks like it should be £24995

Advert says "We have deliberately refrained from a restoration because the vehicle has its 1.6 million kilometres"

So that's 1 million miles.

Up for €15k yikes
