I didn't meant to start a debate over housing prices in London, but since we are at it:

[OT]
If you think that is overpriced, have a look at some of their other offerings:
https://www.lurotbrand.co.uk/property-for-sale/pro...
eek
[/OT]

Back to the garage/mews of my first post: price aside, it is a rather nice garage! biggrin

Six little numbers would do it for me. Be nice to spend 10% of my winnings on a London base for when in town (I wouldn't live there of course - I'd have a country estate) ... !

Just one thought, what's the benefit of making it 3 separate rooms as opposed to one big open plan space?
The main benefit my architect tells me is that it won’t fall over smile. The middle section is going to be quite a bit higher with a clock tower.

Plus I like the idea of having my cars in the garage area and the middle as a workshop to move the car I want to work on into. Just seems more ordered to me.

Personal choice I know but I just like large open plan space.

I think if you plan on doing any serious work on cars or parts etc - cleaning, welding etc - it's better to have at least ONE other room/space.

Some of us only have ONE garage and NO space! Yes, I rebuilt a car in there but the amount of st/crap/dust etc you generate is more than you think.

If you just want somewhere to park the car(s) and polish them - by all means have a big open garage ...

Pretty much what I am going for sort of best of both either side for the cars to be kept clean and covered in the middle for being in bits and dirty.

Plus it’s a good way of getting a 5th garage past the wife without her noticing. Always room for one more!!!!

'Beautifully derelict'

It would make a refreshing change if they just described it as it is...

Wow, just wow! Good spot.

Would like to have met the old guy that lived there, eccentric to put it mildly, to live like that in a house in that area, even 50 years ago is crazy - appreciate he was probably asset rich, cash poor.

Wonder what's under the covers in the garage.

Take your pick of who it might have been..........

Boy George and Marilyn as well as Janet Street Porter, Tony James of Sigue, Sigue Sputnik but none so famous, or even infamous, as The Sex Pistol’s late front man Sid Vicious and his girlfriend Nancy Spungen.

I wonder why the previous (current) owner decided against the renovations they applied and were granted conditional permission for - https://westminster.moderngov.co.uk/documents/s267...

Conditional permission only, might put others off.
