Big enough to have sex in. Goes like hell. Makes a good noise. Looks good at the golf club etc.

Drove mine to work today, which I don't normally do, but the 530d is busy undergoing surgery.

Given it returned the same number of miles to each gallon of juice, could someone remind me why I bother with a dirty dag-dag?

Out for a stroll yesterday, Mrs G asked me what the big deal is with 911s. I went on about iconic car, practicality, speed, engineering, unusual layout, unique driving dynamics, etc etc. It didn't go well.

I should just have stuck to GP's summary.

Because the last time I spoke with Mrs Flange she said the 997 was hers.

They're pushing 60k for LHD. Makes Jeremy's look mega at 30k.

Indeed. But I'd add:

"Big enough for two sprogs, dear"; and

Definitely caveat with:

"compact enough to just have sex with you, dear".

Will keep that summary in mind if mrs rejn needs further convincing!

Appointment booked for Saturday afternoon at the local OPC.

From personal experience, she'll argue that sprogs will fit in a microwave oven too, but it doesn't mean you should. You'll also be reminded that she won't be putting out for a while anyway if the salesman passes you the pen.

I got my own back in the end: now I just show her various 964 ads and remind her how many handbags she could have bought if I hadn't heeded her advice.

Mrs Flange and I had a chat over the weekend that resulted in approval for up to three more cars in the fleet, subject to me finding somewhere to keep them.

I don't think she realises that we've got room for two more at home and I've got access to a big barn up the road.

So in no way did I spend the train ride back from Manchester chasing up Renault 4s...

Any chance there's a transcript of that for me to plagiarise for my own use? It must have been epically brilliant to get that result and I need all the help I can get.

She's actually really good about it - as long as it doesn't inconvenience her, it's fine.

Is there something in the water? The details are different, but the spirit of the conversation is very similar to the one I had with Mrs Grubes over the weekend. I assumed it was some sort of weird reverse psychology thing. I'm feeling quite unsettled by it...

I'll admit to knowing nothing about them, nor having been within 10 metres of one (knowingly), but I find myself a little drawn to something like this:
