We discussed at length much earlier in this thread how being a 'good YouTuber' is much more than just being the best presenter on camera; if that was all it came down to then my channel would be significantly smaller than it is!There are so many more elements involved including setting up the content opportunities, managing the social media output, distributing the content you create on YouTube, pushing it to the right places and eventually actually getting it seen by as many eyeballs as you can. Just look at how much good stuff is out there but you never come across it other than by accident because the creator wasn't the best at pushing it around.
I consider that I make decent content, a long way from the best but up to most people's standards while having a very good understanding of publishing it to a large audience. In my mind one of my strengths is also in seeking out the opportunities to create such content and being relentless in the volume that my team push out across the social channels. However, I know better than anyone the work effort that requires and it is a 16 hour a day job, 7 days a week, every week - there is no such thing as a holiday or day off. The reality is, most people aren't going to commit to doing that as it means many other sacrifices in one's personal life but that's a choice we each make.

I understand that there are certain ways to get yourself noticed, and with YouTube being difficult to crack, you can understand why people do it. SOL for example explained that early on he'd milk all his footage from the weekend into many small clickbaited videos over the week, generating views and subscriptions. I don't agree with it, but to each their own I suppose. I think in your case, you established yourself when the concept of automotive YouTube content was still in its infancy. I'm not saying you haven't worked hard (I'm sure you have), but there wasn't a saturated market to contend with.
Also, you're a completely different YouTuber to STG. Sure, he has better editing skills, but you have access to more events, which is where you come out on top. I can tell that you dedicate your life to your work, and it definitely shows with how your content is presented. I wouldn't place you far off the top in terms of presenting either. I think people see the Gant pullover and hear the Eton voice and give you s

I went to look around their London facility and couldn't fault anything, only problem for me is that I couldn't afford the price. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4809056/Is...
STG has improved a lot since his first videos but I am not sure he is a car youtuber. I think he is like a vlogger who vlogs while driving. He doesn't know anything on the technical aspect of cars and he and sol have decided not to invest any money on cars since they are getting free press cars anyways.
Buying and selling cars is essential for a petrolhead I think. Either that or getting a cheap car and modding it or create a track car etc. of course you need to be wealthy like mrjww to maintain a fleet of supercars but you can create supercar performance by modding a more affordable car.

Christ, Q Park under Park Lane is what, £50 a day? I've been robbed doing that every weekend.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4809056/Is...
I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet, but Seb really is selling his Exige because "before I get bored of it, and you guys get bored of it" and "the dream is to own a 458" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZi1GJt_3No
Surely he's going to lose money hand over fist since the car is only 4 months old and is a pretty marmite spec? Perhaps not since he bought it in the UK and registered it in Switzerland.
EDIT: The video he posted before this one only has 9000 views. That's terrible.

He keeps banging on about 'new goals' and apparently if you have the same car for a few months, you aren't pushing yourself to the 'next level'. Obviously his next car will be a downgrade, and he's passing it off as being 'just temporary as I'm waiting to buy the 458'. This guy really let himself down with his dishonesty. He seems quite insecure. Nobody cares if he has to sell because the views aren't making enough cash or he needs to be more sensible financially. Look at the response Paul's video got. Everyone's very supportive. Of course Seb has to say "I'm still rich, guys". The viewers can see right through him. The likes/dislikes ratio on all his vids says it all.Surely he's going to lose money hand over fist since the car is only 4 months old and is a pretty marmite spec?
