KN08 ROT on a BMW X5. Genuine plate issued to the car, somebody at the DVLA has a sense of humour.
Used to be on a mini cooper S.
So not issued to the car then smile

Just having a look at the catalog for the next DVLA auction, http://bit.ly/a724jC
Lot 791 on 6/10/10 is 'LAM80S' with a reserve of £400.
Be interesting to see what that sells for..
How is it that the DVLA can legitimately sell you a plate that you can customise to read certain things and then penalise you for doing just that? (I know it's not the DVLA that do the penalising, but you get my point)
I know exactly what you mean.
I did a little write up about that very point a while back; http://bit.ly/aEXCWQ
(I know I've already put this up on here but can't remember which thread. Anyway, if you've seen it before, I apologize for the repetition)

Must have been KN03 with two studs in it then - it was always on the Mini2 forum.

The best way to check on plates like that is to just type it into the DVLA search page
(No results for KN08 or KN03 or KN06).

But! Surprisingly, they seem to have missed 'KN09 ROT' http://bit.ly/bp8XBH
And as this is the "chav" plate thread... wink

Saw a Jag XF with the plate Mr H, the 'H' being the 11 with a black screw cap between numbers. Couldn't decide if it was a bit chavvy on an otherwise lovely car or me just being jealous.

Seen CE08 0SS a couple of times on the M25

It's spaced CE0 80SS, on a crappy car with a sales advert in the window for the plate.

Also, there's a Merc down my road with RU18 230, spaced RU18 2 30

X 44BY X on a BMW 325 M Coupe on the A41/A1M roundabout.

ETA - I'm assuming it's to be read as 'Kiss Baby Kiss'.

X's at each end of the plate are almost as bad as people who put a cheapo prefix reg on with a single digit number then slide the 'O' to the left so it looks like a 'zero' e.g A2 OPD becomes A2O PD.

They didn't use I, Q, or Z on mainland UK but they may have used 'I' in Ireland.
Ireland certainly issued plates with I's.

I know, I have one.

Two divvy coppers stopped me one day and said that my plate was illegal as it had two letters and five numbers and didn't come up on their computer system. When I pointed out it was an I and showed them the printed tax disc in the window with the full reg shown, they skulked off somewhat sheepishly hehe

It came on the car, doesn't read anything but has a sort of timeless appeal not having anything to tie down the age of the car to joe public.

I like it.. ! It'd go well on a seriously 'works' track day car, IMO.
