Is this a barge?

I rather think it is. Can't believe how cheap these are - I guess because they're thirsty.

Bit of a BOBFOC though isn't it...
Good value for a 2007 car. Peugeot though innit.

Indeed. Not really my cup of tea but looks well specced and a very smart looking newish car for 3 grand!

Tell you what I saw this morning - first time I've seen one on the road and I suspect a rare sight due to the obvious... one of the very newest shape 9-5 Aeros. Nice looking car.

What would that have cost 5 years ago? £30k +?

Just checked and the V6 petrol GT was £29k, and the V6 Diesel GT was just over £30k. I doubt its good round town on juice, and the looks are a bit marmite but superb value for money if you can look past the badge

Someone on the route where I walk my dog has one, parked outside the sort of house you'd see on Grand Designs. One of the ones that Kevin McCloud would have a crisis over. Nice to know that the stereotype is being perpetuated! The car looks really smart though, there's something effortlessly cool about the rear roofline that I can't quite define.

They really are astonishing VFM, even the 2.7HDI (Same motor JLR used IIRC) can be had with sensible miles for thread budget.

Although it's done a few miles, and the vendor has no feedback, this looks lovely:

Lots of the usual hyperbole but no actual details about history etc.

Indeed. You would call before going to visit though, wouldn't you?

I'm a big fan of the following search:

We've already chatted about the grey one with the Alpina front splitter / bunmper...

Is it really, though? I mean you can't exactly do 50k a year around town at 15mpg unless you are minicabbing - do you actually do enough miles around town for it to make any difference?

Calculate the cost of a month around town in each car based on your typical mileage and you might be suprised at how much less scary 15mpg is than it looks.

I do about 8k a year, with 80% that in town or short drives. So in theory 15mpg is not actually that bad

Also on Ebay, possibly at cheaper price, certainly more photos.

Love the new 9-5 and bookmarked this as a car to buy one day, once prices have really crashed.

Loved this comment on the Autotrader Customer Review section from July - "I WILL BE BUYING A NEW ONE IN 2 YEARS TIME NO DOUBT." Obviously a customer oblivious to the trouble they were in at the time, he'll be even sadder when he see's the trade in value.

Not sure if this is the cheapest but it's got to be 40% off list price at least at under 1 yr old - http://www4.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Right, unexpectedly without a car after the bloke who was looking at mine tonight paid up and left with it! Need a smoker so 'barge me' chaps - preferably within cycling distance of Ashford in Kent smile

Cheers!
