My car is in for repairs and I have a loan Citroen with 295,000 kms on the clock. Feels tight as a drum and gets me around just fine.

As a 167k mile owner I wouldnt be afraid to use that one as a cheap step into one.

This popped up on FB, even if the KM means KM (and not miles as FB often lists stuff as in error) that's still some mileage!

Alex from Car Throttle owns that now. It's 700k+ miles.

I walked past it in 2021 when dropping my daughters off to school. Noticed a Volvo high mileage sticker in the window, so did the obligatory MOT history check and saw the miles!

Pretty cool!
Pretty sure that passed through the hands of one of the contributors to Car Mechanics mag, too.
And a guy named Neil Armstrong..

Hell! I've seen worse with a tenth of that mileage!

Jeez, this thread is an eye opener. I thought my Countryman SD was getting into serious mileage territory with 97k driving

There are plenty of people on PH with daily drivers north of 200K (me included - currently 243K)

My Accord is almost at 150k and drives well but I've noticed the tin worm starting to appear under the bonnet. It seems that while these things will do mileage no problem, its age and the UK weather which seems to be more of a threat to its existence.

High rate of mileage accumulation tends to mean a less aggressive duty cycle. Cruising on motorways causes much less wear than stop-start short journey motoring in cities.

Hot climates with strong sunshine attack rubber and plastic components.

If you click through to the Tire meets Road site it has the full service history, some data looks like typos ( 15,000 miles in 9 days then only 882 in the next two weeks?) but it’s pretty much cranking out 10,000 miles every 15 days or so. Would love to know how many drivers that entailed.

Think it was a bloke delivering medical supplies between Houston and Dallas I read somewhere. 250 miles each way, google reckons you could do the round trip in about 7 hours.
