These 1.8s aren't so bad. Of course they're gutless, but the Freelander is not such a bad offroader!Still, if it drove well, for £700 I'd take a punt. Great when running, amazing off-road for the money.

The best £1200 I ever spent !
I paid an entire £400 for this last week. 1998 328i Auto with full leather and electric everything. It had no MOT but passed after needing a set of rear pads!
I originally bought it as a donor car for my 318i Touring but this is in such good condition that I'm considering keeping it and selling the Touring instead!

31, but no ncb to use as it's on my new ST.
Thanks.

I tried a quote without the plate. £1000 fully comprehensive.
Does that make sense at this price point? Just found this. I'm too far for a casual glance, but looks good if the description is true. Looks lovely.

A casual browse on ebay resulted in the £900 e39 523i Touring sitting outside on my drive right now.
Everything works as it should; even the aircon.
I'm not a fan of the 18" M Sport Parallel alloys; so I've removed those and fitted some old school 16" turbines.
Turbines - good call

Ouch, that is quite steep! Sorry for the delay but I sold it last Saturday. I did find the insurance quite expensive - more so than my Octavia VRS and Clio 172 but running costs weren't a major concern as I only bought the car as a stop-gap. I am missing those heated seats and the awesome stereo now that I have my Octavia back on the road!S3_Graham said:
I didn't really notice them until I had my W208 '55. See a few of them round my way. Really fancy a cheap 430 to smoke around in.
check for rust, then check again and again. There will be some on it.
Rear subframe bushes will be worn unless they have been done. (expensive £450)
other than that I guess its standard car stuff. my interior seems have held up well.
You paid £4k for your 55? I paid £15k about 8 years ago. Mind you in 2001, the original owner paid about £60k. check for rust, then check again and again. There will be some on it.

Does this look good? Or better when it's a private sale?
