Example include the Lord Mayor of London (LM 0) and the Lord Provosts of Edinburgh (S 0), of Glasgow (G 0) and of Aberdeen (RG 0)."

How much do 2x2's generally go for at auction?

As with all auction plates, depends who you’re up against. Popular initials also command more money.

You can see the results of previous auctions on the DVLA registrations website. A couple of examples: 41 HU sold for £2.5k, 18 OH sold for £7k. Both those figures are subject to fees and VAT.
