Started of life as a Calibra I am guessing! Can't blame him for wanting to disguise it. hehe

'twould appear to be a Vauxhall Calibra what someone has taken a hacksaw to.

There was a (cancelled) GM prototype/project to build a cabrio version of the Calibra, but I think any that currently exist are converted from tin top coupes...

According to DVLA, the one in the photos is a silver, 1996, 2 litre Calibra and the tax shows as expired on Monday last.

Overpriced, piss-weak, funny colour, probably funny smelling and inexorably linked with drunken oafs? I can see the similarities.

I know what goes well with a fake Aston front end! Audi A6 rear lights! Yeah, that'll fool everybody wobble
Sometimes I may not like the look/design of a modified car, but sometimes I can really appreciate the hard work and engineering that has gone into it. With this MX5 it falls at both hurdles.

Wasn't the Calibra done by a Pistonheader as a pisstake for a Le Mans trip years ago? or was it another forum I remember the build link to?

Either way I can't believe it's still on the road and someone still appears to be using it laugh

Aside from the bonnet vents, which are a bit 'Marmite', I really don't see any issue with it.
