I bought and sold a Y reg one with similar mileage in 2018. Bought for £1500, 6 months later, sold for £1500. Still what they're worth IMHO.boz1 said:
Here's a real "bargain" - £3,395 for an utterly uninteresting base spec, 21 year old 406...

I'm a nutter so I absolutely love that. Such good looking cars and there must be so few well cared for examples out there. It would have a place in my lottery win garage.https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202...

That drivers seat looks pretty worn https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...
I'll try again. £212,000 for an Austin Healey Sprite.

That's insane - for that money, you could get an actually interesting and rare Alpina E39. W00DY said:

I know - I just sold a very nice E39 sport individual for less than £3K!I’ve spoken to the seller out of curiosity and Covid boredom and my mans been on the crack pipe, apparently knocking back offers of over £12K! LOL

Well I'm with you; take it a bit further and it's an Austin A35 special. https://www.classic-trader.com/uk/cars/listing/aus...
Seriously, as much as I enjoy my cars, and those of others, I find it difficult to see £212,000 in any car; if it gets used the "value" falls, if it doesn't, one may as well have a model of it.

From the ad:-ONE OF THE BEST E39 IN THE UK GUARANTEED, FULL & COMPLETE SERVICE HISTORY, TWO FULL FOLDER'S OFF
So a lot went wrong with it, and he has the bills to show it !!
Love Honda's, owned a fair few.
Always wanted a DC2, EK9, DC5, FD2 etc.
And really like Accord Type R's.
BUT, £12,000 for one!?

Agreed on overpriced but god I would love that van! Do 79 others fancy chucking a grand in and we can have it 4 and a half days a year each? Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
