Alright Horse, you're on your own lad.

If I criticised TGE and the like for playing a part in cultivating a materialistic and shallow society, they have nothing on Tanner Fox and MoVlogs - who are the vanguards for ostentatious dheadedness.

TGE is Thorstein fking Veblen compared to those two tts.
At least if you watch TF you get to look at
The only reason to watch his videos.

Yep, can’t believe Chicken is questioning my preference for TF and MV.

Yes, TF can be a dhead. He’s only 17. But the rest of the time he’s mature way beyond his years, GSOH, very smart kid, and can be very entertaining, with or without Taylor.

Are you talking about the lambs or me? The lambs are definitely sounding a bit bitter, it has to be said.

TGE puts a video out last Sunday, where he states in the video it’s Sunday AM. With no other date info provided (pre edit). Naturally people/lambs form the logical conclusion that it was shot that Sunday, and obvious confusion entails, not least about an identically spec’d Huracan.

So I come in here with a half serious / half trolling question, and the result is the last few pages.

People asking about the smoke ‘n mirrors, but I think for this thread to get back on topic, maybe best we let that slide (for now). I think I said already it was the ‘last straw’, and ever since I’ve had my mind made up about TGE. He’s more poserhead than pistonhead, is another problem I have. But whatever floats your boat, watch it.

As well as Vehicle Virgins, STG, Tavarish, I’m a fully paid member of the LoLo/MoMo squad, Tanner Fox, but the difference being, they don’t, like TGE, come into this thread umpteen times a day, or umpteen times into other vloggers YT comments section, with all the brown tongued lambs in tow, in a thinly disguised attempt at vulturing subscribers. Avoid TGE? You can’t, he’s everywhere. I think he must have his laptop open, on top of his snacks trolley, and in between off loading packets of Hula Hoops, he's browsing his social media.

I've never watched a video from TGE but reading the back and forth the last few pages you do come across as a bit of a weapon. If you don't want to watch them, don't. Can't be simpler than that surely.
Never watched TGE and not read my quoted post either. As I said, the hairy hipster is hard to avoid.

Yes, it's scaring me. Can we go back to Shmee giving us interesting insights into the whole YouTube shebang and TGE not having to defend himself from angry folk the whole time. Thanks. Rah.

Have one of these myself and can confirm, very nice watch!

Tbh after watching Tom's video I actually learnt a few new things about the watch (including how to tell it apart from new version).

Looking forward to seeing more in the series.

Anyway, back to scams and cars etc rotate

Always amuses me that the majority of people who post motivational memes didn't actually make their money themselves laugh

If thats true it can be changed;

Dream (about how you will spend your parents money)

Drive (cars bought with your parents money)

Discover (other ways to spend your parents money)

hehe

Obviously some on here have said about how he got it from his parents....Does anyone actually 100% know if thats true?

I appreciate the content put out by these youtubers, there is a good mix for everyone. I have no particular problem with the background some of them come from; my only issue is when they start talking about how they have financed the car and the risks involved and how scary it was (STG comes to mind, yet lets face it, there is zero chance his family would ever kick him to the kerb); or how anyone can do what they do (not really, not unless you have the support of family, living at home, funding etc, to dedicate the time needed to offer great content); or worse (coming from a humble background and building businesses from zero), talking about how they built a business from scratch! Perfect example from MrJWW's latest video with Sasha Prost about his 'clothing line', bless him, got to keep him busy some how.

Having said all that, if they put out quality content, and I don't doubt the hard work it entails (editing is a b*tch), I'll enjoy watching it, but I just don't like the preachy nature of some of them. It is very easy to make money when you have money.

PS - easy way to spot a privileged youtuber, wait for them to mention owning a 'lifestyle' brand wink

Long time lurker here. I see the discussion has heated up and taken a turn for the worse, however I'd like to express my appreciation for the youtubers on here. I genuinely enjoy most of their content, though I do watch selectively. Don't let the negative people on here sway you, I feel most people who like your content don't come on here, but those who don't, or have some sort of frustration tend to be more vocal. Stg, Jww, SoL, Tge, etc keep up the good work! I've learned quite a lot from their channels and soon enough I hope to join the exotic car owners clique. They are far better at conveying the feel/experience of an exotic car than run of the mill journalists who might not only be jaded with such cars, but also biased. Or at least if not better, the way the share their experience is closer to how I'd experience them, I can relate to their way of conveying the experience of a car.
For me as an average person who hasn't had much experience with such cars and who lives in a country with a very small market in this segment, I really do get a lot more out of their videos. For example their shared experiences have sparked my interest in cars/brands I didn't even consider before. Also because I live in a country with a small market for these cars there are very few people with stories/experiences/interests from whom I can learn new things or share experiences with. These guys fill that little void in my life and I for one am very happy they do what they do.

A bit disappointed by some reactions on here. I thought my country was filled with haters and negative people, seems people aren't that much different in western Europe either.

All sorts, too many to count. 'Learned' is also acceptable afaik. Or perhaps you are far more knowledgeable than me and have more experience and ofc course you have nothing to learn or experience from their videos, but from my point of view they're worth watching.

If honest, I don't have the sort of disposable income to allow me to spend £2k on a watch. Especially not when I have an old 3 series to maintain! Are watches like these financed? (Genuine question and not a dig as I know you finance cars) I assume they're just manly bracelets really?

Sorry I didnt do the quotation marks due to spelling or punctuation apologies if you took it that way.

I more meant what learned/learnt means in the traditional sense from education rather than learning you want to have a supercar. I cant see what you might learn from these videos other than realising you want to be rich to be honest.

A Patak was mentioned in the video. I'm not sure about the older stuff, but anything semi modern will make a £2k Tudor look like it was priced by Casio.
