There can’t be many rarer, more super, more expensive cars surely?
There's definitely rarer ,with 39 GTOs built.....I think .

Seems a GTO is also most expensive at $48,4 M
36 according to Wikipedia - I did a Coys Historic Festival at Silverstone in the late 90’s where there were 12 or 13 of them on display / racing - it was noted as a record gathering at the time.

I also remember a line up of 7 or 8 McLaren F1 Road cars.

I might be wrong and haven’t resorted to the internet, but my memory tells me there were 36 3-litre (I.e. “250”) GTO’s plus 3 4-litre (I.e. “330”) GTO’s = 39 in total.

Having read Wikipedia in detail - your memory indeed trumps my scan reading - It says 36 Produced then in the Homologation section

Quote
Ferrari built only 39 250 GTOs (33 of the "normal" cars, three with the four-litre 330 engine sometimes called the "330 GTO"—recognizable by the large hump on the bonnet—and three "Type 64" cars, with revised bodywork).

Subjective but I think the 600LT is one of the nicest looking modern McLarens cloud9

GBS Zero..... Certainly not a Caterham or Westfield... I’m surprised none of the car geek ‘pappers’ didn’t know that!
Hi there,

You are indeed correct.
It’s a GBS Zero, built by me from a kit in just under 2 years using all new parts.

It’s certainly not a Caterham or a Westfield, it’s much more advanced in terms of its engineering and also develops more power and performance than a similarly priced Caterham.

The car is powered by a 2.0 Zetec engine with throttle bodies giving 170bhp in a car that weighs 600kg. Power to weight is 280 bhp per tonne.

It has a full digital dash set up and all driver controls are mounted on the steering wheel.

Had I gone the Caterham route I would have spent at least £10,000 on top of the £28k and would still not have had the same spec.

My build photos etc are in this thread

Tim

You can put money on seeing some ace cars in Alderley on a sunny day. Probs the best place to ‘spot’ outside of London
Bought my first DC2 from there back in 2002/03. Being a southerner relocated to the Midlands, I'd never heard of it, so on my way to see it I was wondering what sort of Manc suburb I'd end up in (this was pre Google street-view) - cue much jaw-dropping as I drove down the road the (solicitor or dentist, forget which) owner lived on!

Spotted this little beauty pulling out on to Ascot high st after fuelling up, looks like DK Engineering are selling it as I saw an instagram video of them driving it around the Longcross test track up the road.

ETA it’s apparently wearing the same livery it wore to race at Monza in1965

About £1.5 - £2 million. It appears to be a LHD 275 GTB 2 cam short nose, which the first Italian owner entered in a local event, so not a pukka works or customer competition car. Nice though.

It kind of explains the proliferaton of hand car wash sites around these days. There's obviously money in washing cars.

Washing cars laugh

They do a tad more than that and usually with seriously high end metal. Granted I’m of the view that a lot of it is more down to the marketing but clearly they are good at what they do

Hi all, i was once again in Alderely Edge today as a mate told me that something special would be rolling through, however today exceeded everyone's expectations. Because i have so many photos, I'm going to upload the cars of note in stages, missing out the "identikit" modern supercars. But this is by far the spot of the day and probably the best spot I've ever seen

Monza SP2
ETA - this wasn't even the "something special " he was talking about!
