Has anyone else seen Matt Farahs car storage facility build? It's certainly very very impressive! I can't help but wonder how he'll make it pay though as the build cost must have been enormous.

His dad is Chairman of Tiffany & Co and when he was at Ralf Lauren his salary was c.$20m, so I reckon Matt has got a wee something to fall back on hehe

Tim, are you heading to Canada this summer with your Ford GT?

Unfortunately just the USA, I would have loved to bring it back to Multimatic in Toronto but unfortunately the insurance situation for a foreign registered vehicle isn't really manageable in Canada so I can't make it work.

Haven't watch any of Stradman in months and decided to watch his latest.. I could barely watch more than a few minutes before I got a head ache. Does the ADHD, crack cocaine and 50 tins of red bull style vlogging really work? Are kids brains really wired for that style? Its so cringy to watch a grown man be like that.

It used to be the formula for children's TV back in the day... if you ever watched a show like "Going Live" it seems they were on something or other as they seemed so wired... I wonder if this initial setback will see Archie return to the SVR (mysteriously not sold by Redline) as he drives aimlessly around petrol stations in Battersea, Fulham and Chelsea shouting "chaos" with his sidekick TGE, or will he (and Jaguar) persevere with the racing?

The car seemed like it was made of papier mache, I've seen children's games of musical chairs last longer laugh

I think a better track like Donnington would suit these cars, it seemed more like a very high speed procession, the Safety Car saw more action than the race ones biggrin

Will you be in OC / LA again on your trip? If so, let me know, I am local (OC) and i’d love to get you down to our local Cars and Coffee in San Clemente.

I've heard Canadian insurance for exotics and hypercars is PITA so makes sense you had a tough time with your Ford GT. And reason I was asking was I have a friend who's visiting from Vancouver and he told me you were coming down and they were planning a huge supercar/hypercar meet up.

Stradman has taken a page from DDE. They appeal to the same demographics and tbh it's working for them. They've reached a million subs and still going up and views are steady but I feel at some point the audience they're attracting will get bored and move on whilst car enthusiasts who help build these channels and appreciated quality content are long gone.

Have you seen the prices he's going to charge? Pricelist I saw had the lowest price from $800 a month and that was only if you were going for multiple bays.

He's a bright fella and has been working on the concept for years so I suspect the basic numbers add up.

Track lay out was dictated by being streets I guess? Didn't look great though. The whole electric race car thing just doesn't do it for me anyway. Same as Formula E (euthanasia?), which may seem OK on paper but in reality the lack of sound detracts from the experience. You only need to look at F1 and the efforts made to make them louder, to see the part sound plays in race cars. Didn't Branson say Formula E would overtake F1 in just 5 years? Yeah, right.

Gordon Murray's Escort really is a thing of beauty. I'd take this over any super-dooper hyper car.

Re the archie hamilton video ,

I wonder how his weekend would of gone if he could totally concentrate on the driving rather than vlogging as well.

One of the reasons I've not taken up more of the racing opportunities that come my way right there. If your attention is on making a video around the race, then you really aren't as 'head in the game' as you need to be and it's quite a challenge.

Yeah i wonder if he regrets vlogging the whole weekend , must of been a pain in the ass for the team as well not having 100 % of your driver.

You go to any other racing and you don't get drivers vlogging right before there due to to qualify or go to the grid to race.

I should imagine that 99.9999% of the reason he got his drive was for exposure and that appears to have been a success.

From jaguar's point of view, but for him it was the chance to get noticed and kick start his racing career .

He was never going to get that from a one off drive in the guest car. Unless of course, he took pole and won but that was never going to happen. That's no slur against his driving ability but simply the reality that all of those cars are driven by decent drivers with a whole heap more experience of driving the Jaguars. They're just very different to anything else he's raced and he was always on the back foot. If he wants to blog about racing he'd be way better off simply taking a seat in a club level formula. I fear they might not be glamorous enough though.

It's strange that nobody in brit gt's thinks a ex le mans winner is a decent punt unless it's down to what he;s willing to accept .

Also you'd think with his family's money he couldn't buy a seat in ginetta's or even clio's at least then he'd be getting tv airtime .

I thought Archie was incredibly subdued during the entire vlog, almost like he didn't want to be vlogging.

I'm not racing expert so won't comment on the collision, but it certainly wasn't the best circuit to show off his driving ability, the cars were huge for that track.
