I've been watching that. Isn't it a bit steep considering the ruddy great gouge on the flank ?
Hardly a lot of damage, it looks like a scrape to the plastics which can be replaced/resprayed quite easily, for probably £200-300, certainly less than £500.

I'd be more concerned if the metal underneath is affected.

I think it's a bit steep considering mileage but it looks a like a good example.
I agree. That looks like really superficial damage - just a surface scrape to the plastic.

I think the mileage is actually pretty low for a car of that type and age, but the price might nevertheless be a little high.

However, as they get increasingly rare, good ones can only go up. (Copyright the eternal optimist)

This certainly falls into the 'interesting' bracket. I find myself wanting it more and more, the more and more I drink. Funny how that happens.

Two that have caught my eye tonight, both from the same dealer. Good job I'm not on the lash, or I might be making viewing plans for both.

I love this.

And then this guilty BL pleasure.

Would something like this be a silly idea?

I've been looking for a early E500 S211 for a while, with no joy (I posted one on the smoker thread the other day, but it has the wrong interior for me).

I've just spotted this later plate E350 and it seems to have similar performance to the 500(although sadly without it being a V8).
I like the colour and it doesn't seem to be silly money. Is there anything special I should be aware of?
I really like that, and agree that the colour is fantastic.

It's late enough to have had all the upgrades and improvements and, as long as the service and MOT history checks out, looks a decent buy to me.

Get that for a figure beginning with 5 and that's hard to beat as a family proposition.

Love this colour combo...

You'd have to call it MILF if you bought it... biggrin
Very optimistically priced though, non?

9 grand for a 13 year old 3 series seems a lot to me, even for a cabrio.

Out of budget, but if you turned up with 10 grand in your hand the week before Christmas, you might be able to snare a classic.

I'd love a Citroen SM, with the DS a close second on the list, but even with my Presidential credentials they scare the pantalons off me.

This comes under the 'interesting' part of the thread title. Imagine ordering this back in the day... I'd love to know the story. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Maserati-biturbo-2500-19...

Mental. Utterly, ruinously mental.

Great spot.

It's Christmas, so I feel posting lovely cars that slightly stretch budget is okay. It's a 6.3, with an epic roadtrip home possible.

Just look at this. Lovely. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C700084

That is fantastic. Couple of grand for shipping, and you'd have a terrific car for not (very) much money. Great spot.

Not as nice as the green one, and in a somewhat less exotic location, but it is cheaper (actually in budget) and it is easier to view.

The dealer has some appealing stock.

Lovely looking thing. LHD, but reasonably priced (I think!) http://www4.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

This has been lying at the back of a multi car franchise group for quite a while.
It is also for sale for a lot more at another garage less than 5 miles down the road.

http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C519534

Not sure what's going on.
Well spotted. Neither of the ads inspire much confidence do they.

Perhaps one for the NI contingent to comment on?

Probably just lie there in the corner unsold he said.
What a pity, it's a nice-looking old thing. He needs to drop the price.
