The more photos i see of your car the more i love it. This might be a stupid question but how do you open the door ? there doesn't seem to appear to be any obvious door handle.

Lot's of faffing about before the actual trip. I did stop for 45 minutes in Pontrisina before hitting the Bernina pass.
The best fun ever followed by enough fines to keep Donald Trump in hair dye.

1 hour to charge the phone battery.
Car park just round the corner.
Must get at least 20 seconds of in air footage.
Drunk.

This can't end well.

Okay my apologies.
Lost it a bit there back in the car park.

Really should be easier than this though.

Going to have to count to ten and start learning about Dave again.

Not to be a dick, but a few practice runs on a footy field before you left may have been prudent...

On a sensible note, wifi? Was your phone still connected to the hotel wifi rather than Dave?
Live dangerously and all that!

Nah was too far from the hotel. It was connecting fine when I was up the Alps, straight in, just doesn't want to now. I'll go and spend an hour or so in that car park later and fiddle with it.

Then I'll see if I can get Dave to connect!

Trouble is you see, it's a beautiful Saturday here and there is a lovely little town on the lake with nice welcoming bars. Straining my grey matter on wifi issues runs a distant second!

I've had the 911 turbo for 2 years so know what you mean, flat out feels like bending the laws of physics not exciting the soul.

Feel free to do the F and L when you have a min.
I didn't intend to disrespect the Turbo Mat it is a fantastic, aspirational thing no doubt and congratulations on owning one. It just didn't work for me. But as I say, more my failing than the car.

Couple of nice things in the hotel car park.

The main news is that Daves been up!

It's uploading on the hotels desperate wifi so will take a couple of hours, mobile connection is pretty crappy here too.

I took my time and managed to get it connected, I suspect it'll be one of those things that becomes easy once I understand it.

Went to a closed outdoor pool a little way down from the hotel. Got him up and then floated toward the hotel, plan was to drop down over the car park and just get a quick vid of the car. Thing is it's very bloody loud so I didn't want to disturb the hotel. Just hovered him up there, you can clearly see the car and the Porches I posted just now, then had a little look over the lake and bought him back down to land on the plastic table.

Really pleased, didn't think I was going to get the hang of it but should be able to get gonig a bit now, I'll start exploring it's more interesting functions when I get to Lichenstien tomorrow.

It's pretty odd when it starts to get away from you a bit, makes me very nervous, I feel like it's just going to bugger off and not come back!

I've also sussed how I can record the guitar onto the laptop using the amp modeller but I need a 3.5 jack to USB connector, will try and pick one up somewhere, that'll give me something else to do.

Be a real shame to leave Lake Como tomorrow, it's beautiful here, somewhere I will come back to with the other half when i get the chance.

Are you going to post up a guitar vid? music I'd not blame you if you didn't. I get bloody stagefright just recording my playing at home on my own!
That is very weird you saying that cherry I am exactly the same. I'm very much a bedroom player and never play in front of others or with anybody else. I have a nice home studio set-up in my office at home which I hardly ever find time to use but when I do as soon as that red button comes on my fingers stop working!
Isn't it odd?

I suppose playing with others would build the confidence but I'm too set in my ways to start that.
I will put a quick vid up if I get it working but I'm certain that my playing will be well down on what I normally do because I'll be aware someone may be watching!

Not that anyone will be interested. As I said before I don't really play stuff that most people would recognise so I'm just going to bash a couple of tunes out to prove to myself I can overcome the technical difficulties.

What stuff do you like to play?

Cool thread, keep it up. I have an extra week to 10 days holiday over my wife. I intend to use it for a roadtrip in my 570 in early Sept. no Dave for me, but will try and master GoPro.
Followed your stuff in the Supercar thread Targ, lovely car.

Thinking of ordering a 570 Spider when I get back, have really missed the roof down on this trip.

Yes that's the place .
I must have missed your previous trip threads.
Hubby, thinks you're brave for the Track/Track, he is a Sport/Normal ,but it's a 675Lt ,not a 720.
Your choice of colour is great. We have now got titanium silver ,it's just not as eye catching as the oranges,or the volcano red that was on a 650s we had.
Yeah it's a great way to spend a day. Although I'm a car nut the bikes and planes are the best of it, and the Chateaux has a really interesting history too.
I love Beaune anyway, try to go there at least once a year, it's so French!

I'm always Track/Track to be honest Inka, was the same with my 650S. Comfort and sport are very nice but I like the thrill and the noise! A 675 is probably an entirely different experience though, haven't driven one, can only imagine how tense that must be on Track/Track!
