Just to update, I nearly forgot to book the table at the PK for Sunday night, thankfully have done it today and has been confirmed - table for 15 booked for 2030 (we had 13 names but thought I would add a buffer).
How can you forget FOOD? I wonder who'll get the most steaks in . . .

2 weeks and counting down.

Never been a Healey fan . . . until last years Spa.

Here's two for you all:

3000

100

Cracking beasts, love the sidepipe-sound - flames! They are miles away from the streetcars. Looking fw to see Phil thundering through Les Combes or Rivage . . . If I can get there.

Learn by heart wink

For you between 2 and 3. That's paddock area. They'll have very phat and bad french frites there . . .

I'll try to get a snappers wristtag again. If there's a spare pit wristtag I rather have one of those. Being right were the action is has my focus this time.

" . . . pukka FIA 1960 Healey 3000 Mk1 with a Dennis Welch engine - it revs to 7000rpm!"

Feck me, if I were blind I could appreciate that. One of your best track vids yet . . . Any reference to any 'normal' Healey is gone here right wink That's why I turned like a leaf . . . Is that a 2 liter Bertone GTA?

So Phil, how does this Big One compare to the Gumpert?

"2002 Eifel Klassik, 2 X 500km races at the Nordschleife.
This is the 1963 Jaguar E-Type of Jon Minshaw and Martin Stretton, the winner."

Of course the Gump and the Healey are miles away: 50 years of difference!

I just want to know what the fun of both is. One being all hitech and glued to the ground: is it easy to drive quick? The big Healey looks like a real hustle to drag around the track, huge fun though. The Gumpert may be boring even compared to the basic thrills of the 3000.

Saturday evening drinking with Dinkel and DutchBert and the rest.
No way Wim, Spa Six Hours Endurance is very enjoyable and after the finish I need to see the paddock. Lots of guys will be touching up their cars for the sunday races. Besides, Esper has invite me (= us) for beers. wink

Last year we had a great diner with the Cobra-team during the Six Hours Endurance but we missed a few hours of the race, and almost the finish! I opt for a fast dinner this time!
Around 6 Bert and I will check in (hotel is a few mins from the track), have a quick snack and return back to the track. I guess.

Trust me Wim, you don't want to miss a single car thundering by there. Leaving the scene is . . . errr . . . painfull.

C'mon Andy . . . if there's guys who want to tail me I'll happily invite 'em to the gold. If there's no problem at the 'gate' - just keep the group compact I guess - they can follow and have a peek too. Don't see the problem. I'm not boasting or showing off here, all can join in at Esper's Bar to fondle his Healey and have beers. All can get a track-permit at the press-tower, and all can make friends and ask around for 'spare bracelets'. If you need a push I can help a bit no problem. I just wish everyone a helluva time!
