When a tube from the front of the window screen gulley could fill the bottle up
So... you collect rain water that runs off the windscreen, into the bottle, and then squirt that at the screen to clean it. The dried insects/bird crap/salt etc mixed with water then flows from the windscreen... back into the bottle! Hooray!

Don't forget to fold your seats down too.
But that would cancel out the newfound weight distribution.

I never use screenwash, start the engine put the heater on and eventually the water in the bottle warms/melts from the heat of the engine.
and leaks out of your split washer bottle

I assume you skipped science at school, particularly the lesson on how water expands when it turns to a solid!

Well you have to make sure you only turn the "ICE" volume up enough to volumetrically balance the shift of the COG

Amazes me some people seem to own one particular car and assume all cars are the same? most have the washer bottle under the wing where the engine heat will not get to them, you obv have so little driving experiance as to have never had a washer bottle freeze up on the motorway even with enough screen wash to keep it from freezing whilst stationary ?

I wouldn't put anti-freeze in !
Well that just goes to show the intellectual benchmark set by the OP of this thread, I'm afraid.
I have to say the OP's right here though.

I was once in my mates car after he had accidently put anti-freeze in the wash reservoir instead of screen wash. The result was a greasy smear across his windscreen. If you've ever got anti-freeze on your hands you will have noticed this too.

Stereo needs to be turned off. Reason being the sound waves distort the air, thus increasing drag

Don't forget to put the heater on de-mist. The air blowing against the windscreen helps push the car along.

Heater on means the metal will get hot and expand, which increases weight

Are you planning to fit this miraculous contraption to a 335d (mapped)? Maybe we can reinforce the bonnet to protect against flying Red Bull cans too, and spray Ambiwlans on the bonnet...

Here endeth my attempt at PH meme unificationgetmecoat

But air-con makes the air inside the car cooler therefore denser. It's the lesser of two evils.

Also, the heater matrix is like a radiator, so using it gives you 2 radiators. The Veyron has 14 radiators to make it's 1000hp, which is 71hp/radiator, so when you use the heater you gain 71hp.

When I bought the 77 Kadett and awoke it from its years of slumber in its cosy heated garage I gave it a once over before the MOT, When I operated the windscreen washers the little motor buzzed away happily and the two jets on the bonnet sprayed what can only be described as silly string all over the window in a gelatinous stream that was caught by the wind and whipped about all over the front of the car.
I then removed the washer bottle in order to clean it out but no amount of turning upside down and shaking would dislodge the jelly that was inside, small amounts would flop out but most of it was stuck and staying put.
I ended up pouring boiling water in the top of the bottle and melting the goo out.

What the hell was going on there ?
Algae i would have thought?

I think we need water or cleaner in there. But it amazes me that no car manufacturer (as far as I know) has tried heated water / fluid washing?
In the 80's, I got a thing that was like a heat exchanger for washer fluid, on a top hose, and it was excellent. In winter especially, it seemed to really help frozen washers / screen problems.
Er, my 2003 S Class has this.

The heater pipes are routed through the washer reservoir.

Works great biggrin

I can't tell if this is a total joke or not... but heat doesn't affect weight, only density.

Can't argue with that logic, does that calculation also work with oil coolers?

Best to drill some holes in it as well. Massive benefit, it saves more weight, you can still piss in it to top up and that makes the driver lighter too.
