Bosozuko gangs who make and run these cars are not at all fun.
I went to Tokyo Auto Salon this year and they fill the car parks.
I wanted to take video and pictures but was discouraged from getting too close to them.
They might not be tough, but they are violent and confrontational people.
They are into crime and often are paid by other groups to carry out organised crime.
The car scene is Japan is unlike here. You don't get fan boys - it's all or nothing and rival factions do exist. It's not unheard of Bosozuko members being paid to go and smash up a drift car clubs cars for example.
There is vast interest in their cars on the Internet, but I would imagine they are completely ignorant to the interest and would probably see it as people taking the piss rather than trying to ingratiate to the style.
They looked fairly happy to be videoed, and there are plenty of pictures of the cars on the internet. Maybe if you went over and acted as foreign as possible they might think you were genuinely interested. I went to Tokyo Auto Salon this year and they fill the car parks.

Around 4:40 its gets almost laughable, policeman is tapping on windscreen with truncheon, guess they do not have firearms? Sheriff John Burnell would not be amused.
(would them massive "zorsts" be an MOT fail?)

Come on that video is clearly a fake, p!ss take <insert whatever description>. It starts with "dramatic" opening, panning over riot control equipped policemen. Features a series of panning and what look like dolly type shots of the various cars.
Then you need to think that if you're seriously going to indulge in a bit of bad @rse ninja car oriented crime it's probably best not to a) film it in a Holywood stylee and b) do it in cars which are so clearly instantly recognisable/unique.
In the trend of adhering to Internet memes I offer /facepalm.

In Japan they have a 'trade/temporary' license plate with a red strike through it. They are supposed to be trade or transit plates but the gangs often use them for their 'Boso'cars as there is no way they would pass the Japanese equivalent of the MOT test.rottie102 said:

I quite like bosozoku cars tbh, they are made to look ridiculous on purpose.
+1Have you seen what they do to the scooters?
