I have a really short commute in my 205 GTI. I tend to go for a "drive" a few times per week, just because I don't spend much time driving.

Maybe the more time you spend behind the wheel just getting from A to B, makes you less enthusiastic to get behind the wheel. I do very little miles driving these days, so i really enjoy a clear Sunday morning/evening driving, especially when its nice and warm like it has been.

Haven't lost the love for it (hope I never do) but as I've bought a house recently I seem to find my spare time involves smashing off plaster or fitting bathrooms instead of putting together the rest of my Pajero in the garage.

Equally, the amount of time spent trawling the PH classifieds has been diluted with kitchen websites and stuff frown

The company motor is a diesel so it doesn't rev great deal (and doesn't sound half as nice as a petrol at full pelt) but it does have the advantage I can go from where I live across the North York moors for a blast and back without noticeably denting the fuel tank.

I've lost the will to live with motoring in this country. However, I still enjoy a jolly on the continent.

Yes nowadays my drives in my fn2 type r consist of watching the mpg gauge instead of the rev counter.

Am I the only person feeling like this?? or is it more common than I think??
Given that every aspirant Brit from lords to chavs seems to want a huge 4x4 these days it's perhaps not surprising that sportscars have become a rare sight.

I have a 350Z and an RX-8. The cost of running them both is a bit of a pain and is putting me off cars a little bit, but the real killer is how much I've grown to hate the Mazda. I just can't wait to see the back of it.

Luckily the Nissan more than makes up for it clap
