The painter has just turned up, when I pointed out he had blocked our drive, he just replied, "so what, I'm only blocking a little bit of it, you should have a smaller car, then you would have got out".

WTF? Why should you have a smaller car, because he's an inconsiderate tosspot? The selfishness of some people never ceases to amaze me!

There is a Scott Anson, Painter & Decorator in Sheffield. Could that be the one?

I've been looking for a good decorator for a while. Can I have the number from the van so I can give him a call to come and quote for some work.

I'll try my best to be available at the time we arrange, and be careful to ensure that I accurately pass him my full correct address. Anyone else need decorating quoted for?

Personally I'd forward the pics to local BiB.
I wouldn't let others know his phone number, wouldn't register it for spam calls wink
Nor would I ring & ask him to give me a quote for redecorating my house SW1A 1AA

I would have gone bonkers! Muriel needs to park better.
I'm surprised he's not already had his boss on the phone though?

Not the contractor with the website, this is the painter.

Have a chat with the neighbours and arrange to block the vans in tomorrow.

I woke one morning a few years ago to a gas company van in my fking driveway. They were working on the road a few metres down. Guy took the strop with me for telling him to move it, refused to shift it for almost half an hour.

When they finished for the day they placed a large metal plate over the hole and drove off. Me and a neighbour parked over the top of the plate. Next morning was fun, I didn't bother leaving until lunchtime wink

Let me know when he's finished at yours, I've got something that needs looking - 2 different properties, quite a distance apart though.

At that I would probably have lamped him.

Not a powerfully built company director, just a fat bloke with an intollerance for ignorance.
