What a load of balls - yes they are very nice cars - but loads of Evo 2's and 3's about and they are pretty all of a muchness in standard cooking format. Hardly anything to get excited about in std form now.
Met a Polish guy last month rebuilding one with 450bhp - now that IS interesting.
Nope, I'd much rather drive it as the manufacturer intended, perhaps with a few choice upgrades. A better exhaust here, heat-wrap on the manifold there etc, but not taking it way, way beyond what the car was originally envisaged as. This is the only one ever made if I am not mistaken.
Towards the end of the Lancia Delta Integrale life Maggiora (the company who built the Integrales) came out with this concept, bigger brakes, more power etc...they proposed to Fiat but Fiat were simply not interested.
6 times WRC...yep![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
And the Delta Integrale, even in its road shape, still kicks butts. One of the most balanced and accurate cars ever made. 5.7 secs to 60 and love the overboost!![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)

Evo1 Club Italia number 14 (of 15) was also on sale here a few months back for around the same price so if this EvoIII is a *one-off* then the price isn't quite as unrealistic as it initially seems (assuming the Club Italia actually sold).
Surely the rarest of them all is the one-off convertible (the original one, not Quasimodo's re-make)?
S4 Stradales and 037 Stradales appear to be changing hands for between €150k and €200k these days and there were a couple of hundred of each of those made.

£85k for what will possibly (inevitably) become a pile of Ferrous Oxide?
Madness!
That would make the incredibly low miles ex Graham Goode Escort Cosworth outstanding value at £40k.
Ive always wanted an Evo, but £25k buys a veeery nice one.
Although the Evo and Escort are both outperformed by modern euro-trash hot hatches, there's is, and never will be, anything like them.
Want one.
But I'm not prepared to sell a vital organ or two to purchase one!

thanks, she has a few tasteful ( i think ) mods like the magnesium Corse wheels, uprated high flow intercooler, dual cone air filter and deflector plate, 65mm exhaust and sensible chip and remap, good for 280bhp, in normal trim it was great fun, now she spools up much faster from about 2000 rpm and pulls clean and strong till the red line.
I even have the wing extension brackets which are like hens teeth.
if i had the money, the evo 111 would be in my garage

I have owned and loved my DC for 11 years, she was my baby, but now I have two real babies, I am having to part.
Yes you can use it as a family car, but baby sits dont look good in the back with the Recaros in the front.
You do know you can get Recaro baby seats, don't you?Yes you can use it as a family car, but baby sits dont look good in the back with the Recaros in the front.
While working for Broadspeed in about 2000/2001 I had to deliver an M5 to its first owner in London. The drive from Suffolk left me with a "so what?" feeling, admittedly after a traffic congested run down the A12 and round the North Circular.
The return journey was in an '88 (I think) Integrale with high mileage, faded paint and a flat battery that we paid about £2000 for. One of the most enjoyable drives I've had.

Wow, that looks so nice and mint
What are those alloys called?
They look like 17" Compomotive TH2s. Good wheels, I have them on my Evo1.![thumbup](/inc/images/thumbup.gif)

Edit: actually, on second look, the inner area with the bolts doesn't look quite as deep as on TH2s. Pretty similar though.
