What does your other half drive? Mine's just got...

Wife - Touareg
Me - Saab Aero
She still cannot work out why she cannot keep up on the drive home from work. Apparently, weight shouldn't matter as her car makes 240hp and mine 250hp - she knows this and moans constantly, as it isn't that big a difference. ( overall weight doesn't equate to the gap she sees)
OK - she doesn't know mine has a stage 2 upgrade and BTCC spec ( as per year of manufacture) suspension, which gives me an every-so slight edge, as long as it isn't raining!.

Me: TVR Chimaera
O/H: Civic Type-S
She wanted a sensible commuting car, but left me to do the buying. Didn't tell her it had 160bhp until after we picked it up. I drive it occasionally, and didn't want something completely gutless to trundle around in.
Jealous of some of you blokes with petrolhead partners, though. If my O/H had access to anything properly pokey she'd have it embedded nose first into the nearest Tesco within a day. Hence, she isn't insured on the TVR.

For putting up with my motoring 'foibles' for more years than I care to remember, I bought my other half this car back in 2003. She is the most un-car enthusiast person in the known Universe but, how about this, she loves driving this car:~
..
I've always fancied one of the V6 versions of these in that colour. The ZS is supposedly completely transformed compared to the Rover 45?..
My OH drives a mk4 Fiesta 1.25 Ghia, great little thing if too small for me. Nice revvy engine as well if a bit gutless

Mine had one of these for years. Good steering & chassis for a shopping car. Would have made a decent warm hatch if it had another 50 bhp. And I suppose large chunks of it evolved into the Puma.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
