The trouble is, 'Rat rods' are fast. They look rough, but this is because the owner has spent money on 'go' rather than 'show'. The RX7 posted kinda gets it right, as underneath it's quite a formidable car.

A Citroen Saxo, MKIV Golf or Bora or any old shopping car does not look good in either 'rat' look or sticker-bombed.

It just screams "I couldn't afford paint" or "I have no individuality"

I kinda disagree, its a trend not a lack of individuality, not everyone can be indie.

It was far cheaper than getting a wing resprayed after I mangled it! Plus, I like it biggrin..

Your dad is going to be pissed off when he sees what you have done to his car!
hehe

Tis mine I'm afraid! good job the rest is in black and white, or you would have seen the actual colour boxedin (see profile as it's too shameful to post wink)

That said he is a loyal steed and I'm proud of all the 155,000 miles he has done! (30k of which I have done)...

Kind of spices up what is an insanely boring vehicle though, don't you think?
Erm hehe whatever floats your boat

If that RX7 is the Dragon performance one then its pushing out about 800 bhp. I kind of like that rat/tramp look on decent drift cars. Don't know why but I do.

It would probably be best to just print one big sticker that says "please pull me over"! hehe

I'm sorry to be a dick, but that looks utterly, utterly st. Honestly, this isn't just opinion, this is fact wink

'stickerbombing' is another case of the japs doing something for a purpose (covering up drift damage) and then all the chavs copying and taking it too far.. purposely ruining the look of your car for fashion has lost the whole concept of it. Doing it to a diesel rep mobile is even more ridiculous.

I see, it means doing to your car what nine year old girls do to their pencil cases.

Posts like yours make me want to do it even more.

If you get wound up because people choose to do something to their own car that has no effect on you, I can't imagine how apoplectic with rage you'll be when we all pop round one evening and cover your car in pedo bear stickers.

There used to be plenty of graphics and stickers applied to the GRP panels of our rally car as they would inevitably get battered and broken through the forests.

I have given some thought to stickberbombing my bootlid, bonnet and wheels - tbh im still on the fence

If i was to do the boot lid and bonnet then it would look something like this

Rubbish photoshop i know but i wanted to see what it would look like as im on the fence between keeping the mong-deo mobile PA externally stealth or not

As i go to a lot of modified car shows due to what is sat in the mong-deo i see a lot of sticker bombing - it can look good sometimes but it needs to be done with supporting aesthetic mods if it is to look right

I did do it for a purpose, to cover up drift damage. I drifted into a Van down some country lanes. Does that count?: Can you accept me now pweeaase?? wink

I think it's creative but certainly not something I would do to my own car. Very much a 'scene' thing I guess.

I didn't see one PH sticker among them either...

Is stickerbombing one panel, ie rear quarter, legal?

Why wouldn't it be?

The same as driving a clapped out Corsa with different colour doors, wings, bootlid etc.

Looks st as fk.

Add lazy eye pop ups

Tow hook teddies

Fluro wheels

Stancing

Stretching tyres

Rusty panels

Window stickers
Agree to all the above, looks st in my opinion. Wouldn't dream of doing it to any of my cars

Although I'm not a Nazi so people can do what they like, plus it gives me something to laugh at when I see it on the road.
